Get the Gringo

Saw it. Didn't like it or hate it. Nothing special that's for sure.

Ill watch it one of these days. I keep seein it on netflix but no one I know has seen it. Sherdog delivers again.

I bought it when it came out because that's how boss I think Gibson is. Dude needs some help nowadays and someday I wanna see that Viking epic he had in mind.

Luckily, the movie turned out quite good. The man knows what it takes to make a great movie. The fact that apocalypto was snubbed at the oscars angers me to this day.

If memory serves it had a theatrical release date, but Mel's problems headlining the media kept pushing it back. Finally they just said "fuck it". Too bad, thoroughly entertaining movie.

I find Mel Gibson mannerisms annoying and almost unwatchable -and have felt this way long before his crazy streak.

but I find racist and biggots to be refreshingly honest -so I would let this stand in the way of me watching and actor who was good or great. he, though is not IMO.

So I haven't seen it, I would need some pretty convincing arguments to give 2 hours to Mel.

Saw it about a month ago, was pretty good but nothing great. A little forgettable to be honest, but an ok way to spend a couple hours. Ive always been a fan of Mel, and I was surprised that he had a movie that I had never heard of. Obviously he pissed off the wrong people.

Never actually sat down and watched it but I have seen it around Netflix.

Looks like I gotta check it out.

Yeah man. I hadn't heard of it either. While I was watching it, I followed the story as usual. Suddenly, I realized the movie was unfolding like I had never seen. Subsequently, I immediately looked up information on the movie to discover that the film had two versions. For whatever reason, the other version of the film that I hadn't seen was the one available on streaming netflix.

In my humble opinion, it wasn't nearly as good as the other version of the film.

I saw them both. The director's cut ending or whatever that Netflix has blew my mind and was really disappointing. The original release was the better movie, imo. I enjoyed both for what they were but I felt like I was tripping on something as the Netflix version progressed and things just weren't the same...at all.

I haven't seen this film, but I'm going to check it out. I like Mel's work.

I was pleasantly surprised by the movie. Definitely enjoyed it

I thought i heard it was a sequel of sorts to payback?

It's a similar character.

I found it on netflix a few months ago and loved it.

Mel is just a great lead character and actor.

Sooner or later he will get back to big roles. We are a forgiving nation and he is too good at his craft

Speaking of Payback, I had no idea it had an alternate ending. I've seen the movie multiple times with the same ending. The last time I saw it, which was on netflix, it diverted in story and was completely different in its path and ending. Has anyone else seen both endings to Payback?

Yeah I made a thread about that a little while back.

I thought I was just real drunk at first. I like the theatrical version better

I rented it right when it came out. I really liked it and I believe it's received positive reviews as well.

I saw it and enjoyed it. A friend got it in Netflix. I had never heard of it prior, and was pleasantly surprised.

I'd even watch it again.

Mel Gibson always delivers - I saw this as soon as I could get my hands on it and am pleased to say it was even better than I was expecting it to be. I rate Gibson and will always do so.
