Sheperd is getting called a hero for not paying attention and knocking over a kid.

But seriously, it's hard to tell if the dog was really meaning to attack the kid or just wanted to play. If the dog is aggressive, in most cases, it will almost always prioritize attacking another dog or animal before a person (granted not a dog it is cool with). If the dogs are indeed aggressive, you just don't keep animals like that around. No more excuses, they can get loose (like in the video) and hurt somebody or some other animal.

Either way, it's a scary sight, playing or not. Some dog owners think just because their mutt is jumping on a stranger wanting to play, it's okay. No, a stranger doesn't know that and shouldn't have to play "will he bite me or his he playing"?

My dog wrecked the neighbors dog for running up on me and my 2 kids without a leash. Like I kinda felt bad but they're fucking idiots and never have the dog on a leash and it doesn't listen.

Shepherds are awesome dogs. I had one do something similar to the one in the OP when I was a kid. A chow came into our yard and was growling at me, and our GS was having none of that, lol. She jumped on it, ran him out of the yard and it never came back.



Fun fact. In the 70's the media reported on Shepherds the same way the media these days reports on Pit Bulls. Saying they were dangerous and nobody should own them. Another fun fact: Pit Bulls are almost as awesome as GS's.

Pit bulls protect the kids in their families bc they are selfish and don’t want to share a delicious meal with another dog.

I dunno, to me It looks like it was after the kid since it appears like it tries to go after him a second time. What a great dog the kid has, I hope its young and he'll have it for a long time cause thats a bond right there.
Its also fascinating how instantaneous the dogs reaction was, the crazy dog didnt even have the chance to get to the kid,instant intercept GS missile. In 99% of cases you see people getting attacked, their dogs have no clue how to react

I love that video. Most cats are assholes but that one was super brave.

Notice at the end the mom wants the kid to follow her into the house but the kid goes back for his cat first. Loyalty and bravery on both sides.
