to me, the shit BJ was saying on the build up was pure comedy. me and my buddies would always laugh when he said shit like "to the death Georges!" or "i'm gonna kill you!". he wasn't following a script or trying to portray some bogus image, he was talking shit and he was doing it like a local would lol, shit was just funny as hell because i knew people were like "this dude is mentally ill" but no that's just local shit talk lmao

even to this day people think Max Holloway is stupid or retarded or CTE'd because of the way he talks, but no that's just locals lol

Penn,

I remember the all access' hyped me up. It was also when there was some foreshadowing of what was to come when penn took a day off and then got a call from dana.

At the very least it got penn to take his s&c seriously for 2 fights (Florian and Sanchez).

Years later GSP is in the GOAT talks and seems to be well adjusted while penn has shown himself to be a shitty person who get's KO'd by random drunks.

*That all access also showed how penn ran most of camps (filled with 'yes men').
 
I still like and have a big respect for Penn.

Just obvs frustrating the missed potential, even though he IS an all time great and makes any best fighters ever list. He could have been MORE, if he had the right people around him and more self motivation.
 


That all access program is hard to find nowadays ^^ found this clip of GSP training for it.

I remember Penn doing like body building stuff for his S&C leading up to that fight while GSP was doing some proper S&C

Ha I remember it was pretty split here. I was on team GSP but even then I wasn’t sure if he was gonna win.

The build-up and promotion for that fight was epic. The fight not so much. GSP just had a perfect gameplan and executed it to "T", something that he became well known for. If I'm not mistaken, I believe this may have been the first time that 2 reigning champs fought? Didn't happen again until Alverez-conman.

To me, this was the heyday of the UFC because they weren’t doing so many events. The cards were more stacked and you had programs like this because they wanted to really hype it up. Now they have so many events they all just clog in together. There’s very little hype.

Same. Well it was the following Tuesday and all I said was 'To the death Georges, or the end of the 4th'. I had this account as a backup in case I did get banned so I logged in when I found my other password and kept trolling him leading up to 112 and again leading up to 118 lol. Fuck that idiot.
