Very few thought it was real. Back in the 70’s there were a lot more though lol. This is what makes old footage like this fun to watch. The audience thought someone was being killed by another pro wrestler.


Pro wrestling is the equivalent imo of women watching soap operas. I don’t enjoy it anymore though. It was a hell of a lot fun when I was a kid and my friends and I used to talk about it all the time.

I use to watch wrestling a kid, but now as I’ve gotten older I’ve gain a respect for pro wrestling as a craft and show because it is absolutely an art that’s been around now for going on a century.

I am more interested in the behind the scenes stuff. The creating and development of the characters. The execution of the stunts and bumps they take.

These are grown men and women who take this art more seriously than the kids that watch it.

You may be asking why I’m posting a thread about GSP out for lunch with his male friend. It’s because seeing a fighter doing well and being happy post-MMA career is a rare thing and should be celebrated. Many fighters continue way too long and end up broke or with brain damage or both. GSP is a role model for MMA fighters. No major controversies outside the cage, left the sport on his own terms, kept his money and is able to generate money without fighting, and kept his health.
