This dude gets murked by health issues it seems. His output looked way worse here then usual too tbh.

Gonna sound harsh but he turned in a similar performance against Wonderboy, he simply doesn't know what to do when his opponents don't just shell up and let him bomb them against the cage. He doesn't know how to cut off the cage, and when going against Fighters with good horizontal movement he gets easily frazzled and lets off on his pressure because he only moves in one direction, either straight forward, or straight backward.

This seems a little bit aggressive to me.

Wonderboy is notoriously hard to look good against and he styles on nearly everyone. Excellent strikers like Whittaker, Masvidal and Luque got out classed by Wonderboy and wrestle-boxers like Berger and Hendricks got wheel kicked into next week. Think of how lost Rory looked and he's competent-to-great at everything.

Styles make fights and Magny is a weird one, he pulls off some wins above his level throughout his career.

He def had issues with Magnys absurd reach and height on him but he just looked low output outside of the first round. Wonderboy was dancing around him but he was keeping a solid pace.

This was definitely stupid of him here. I still see a future for Geoff but def not his best showing.

this era of weight cutters are disgusting..... CDF tried to miss weight and gain an advantage too

always great when they lose even better when they get finished

Isn't it a good thing I prefaced my comment by saying it might sound harsh <Lmaoo> People can make all the excuses for Neal they want but in my opinion, he's far too one dimensional with his combinations and has shown a lack of an ability to track his opponents when they circle out, and that's troublesome for a striker that relies simply on his pressure and power, at least with a similar fighter in Costa, he developed a ONE way to cut off the cage in the form of a body kick that intercepts them as they exit.

Magny's the eternal gatekeeper. each time you think he's gonna slide down the rankings, he comes in with a clutch win that people expect him to lose. I'm kind of a sucker for fighters like him. They just won't go away lol.

He made the same frustrated gesture multiple times like he did in the Wonderboy fight. It's a very bad telltale sign that he's getting frustrated about his gameplan not working so you can "lmao" all you want, the facts say otherwise.

He's a guy who somehow ends up on top of Hector @%@ Lombard throwing a hundred punches at him but couldn't last three minutes with RDA. Literally got tossed down and abused like he was a guy out of the audience.

I think you are right there is something inherently fun and magnetic about anomaly fighters like that. You really don't know what you'll get.

Fair enough! I do think Wonderboy has made a career making great strikers of virtually every discipline look ordinary or worse, so perhaps I'm more stuck on that.

No doubt room for improvement.

His Sherdog Fight Finder record looked good, so started paying attention, and haven't really seen anything spectacular. Doesn't seem like a future star or future champ. Didn't seem to be able to change up the gameplan mid-fight to win.

I thought Geoff Neal was better than what he shown tonight.

guess I was wrong. Neil magney is the best gatekeeper ever IMO. If you can’t beat him you won’t ever be a champion.

208 a week out? For a fight at 170?

Are you even trying Geoff Neal?

Neal has all the tools. He lost because he fought a stupid fight
