Genuinely what is stopping some of you from stop watching the sport?

I've already reduced my viewing by about 75%. I've lost interest almost completely, save a few fighters. Divisions are clogged with old faces, or else with boring champions.

Seen it all by now, and very few fighters or divisions today are interesting. Khamzat, Islam, and Illia are cool. Everyone else is a lesser version of something I've seen before in a more exciting and fresher context. No rivalries.

You're just getting old

Still lots of great fights and fun cards. Maybe the 'big name' feeling is a lot less then it was in the past, but that'll come again with time. For example the episode 2 card for DWCS was great and filled with great fights and finishes.

I basically have. I only watch fights post event that I'm excited about. No wmma or midget fights. And if it becomes too much of a cuddle fest I FF to the finish.

Only care about finishes at this stage. Can't be bothered with decision monkeys

I've watched from day one and have no plans on stopping. I've had ebbs and flows with respect to how much I watch, but I've never been more than a few months without watching at least one card. Why do I think I've sustained interest? The sport itself is what draws me in. I'm not a fan boy. I've enjoyed some fighters more than others like everyone, but my viewership isn't tied to a certain time frame or group of participants. I'm constantly in awe of how tough, sometimes to their own detriment, these guys really are. Don't go thinking I idolize that toughness because I don't. There is tough in the fight game and there is tough in life and from what I can see, outside looking in, I'm a fuck ton tougher with respect to day to day life than most of these fighters are, but then again, to do this sport at the highest levels you might have to be a little weird. I don't know.

And FYI, I agree with OP, many people on the forum are negative from top to bottom. They hate everything. Hate the fighters, hate the refs, hate the commentators, and last but not least they hate their fellow shertards.

I think I was born lucky sometimes as I'm not that hard to please and I don't constantly critique anything, I sort of float through life and I'm glad of it. For the most part I genuinely wish everyone the best (there are certainly some exceptions).

I think a lot of people on this forum would benefit from stopping watching this sport altogether. Burnout happens, and this is not a great era of UFC. If you don’t feel like watching any of the cards, don’t know who’s who anymore, and just wait for the results to get posted, you’re burnt out. Take a break or stop watching because unfortunately the product is not getting any better.
I'll still watch the occaisional event. TIme has passed when I rabidly waited for the next PPV and I genuinely cared. Chuck bless.

I have stopped watching it as often. I won't pay for PPV anymore. I PVR free cards and usually watch the main cards, skipping some fights.

For me, I've already invested all these years watching this thing as it is dying and just don't have the heart to abandon it now in its final moments.

I don't know why. I'm close to just not following anymore though.

I still watch all the cards. I don’t know (or bother to remember) half the new names, but I don’t care as long as the fights are good.

100% this for me too, I try to follow the names but it's impossible with some of the Fight Night cards we see, though they still can be entertaining of course.

I skip the fight nights unless the main event is actually interesting or meaningful. I watch most of the ppvs. Usually at the bar. I spend more time on here laughing at memes of Rockhold getting KOed tbh.

Eh I've been watching for a while, I really have tuned out of most fights (got too much going on during saturday night), but I'll pop up if one of my old friends (Justin Gaethje, Oliveira, Holloway etc) is fighting.

This is such a silly attention seeking post, completely divorced from reality that it's unreal.

Its literally bigger than it's ever been
