General Gaming Discussion, v3

Finally playing through Bioshock Infinite - can't believe I waited this long! Lord knows that I regret putting off buying a new PC for so long.

I hear that it's quite short though? Any feedback?

It's like all Bioshocks IMO; fun but repetitive. Don't be afraid of finishing it too quick tho. You'll have enough of it.

I'm also buying Starcraft II so I'm on an RTS binge. Twitch converted me.

Play through both campaigns first to get a feel for how the tech structures work and the general strength/weakness of units.

If you want to play multiplayer and ladder I would HIGHLY suggest you watch a bronze to masters series geared to your race on youtube. Ladder is highly competitive even at bronze. The game is amazingly deep and a bronze to masters series will give you a good idea at what "works". In short until you hit high plat/low diamond simply having a better economy will win most games.

If you have any questions hit me up. I love teaching a bit about SC2.

Forza horizon 2 (on 360) is good fun like the original, yet oddly feels very inferior to the original..

has anybody played the sherlock holmes game on xb1? I've always liked point and click games but hadnt even heard about that one til i saw it on the shelf while i was purchasing destiny the other day.

I started playing Skyrim again.

My last save was almost 2.5 years ago. God help me.

Not yet. They changed engines and my laptop won't run it (Unreal 3 now, I think). Played almost all the others. It's got pretty good reviews, probably the best in the series.

I'm about 8 months clean.

Level 10 Enforcer/Wilhelm in Borderlands Pre Sequel atm.

So far, i love it. Feels similar to previous games, but improved/tweaked visually and gameplay wise. Seems quite expansive, doesn't feel like a DLC, stands on its own.

The environments are awesome, and the whole oxygen system is VERY forgiving and almost a non factor.

Really cool to see another side to Handsome Jack (one of the best villain's ever IMO), the story is actually quite good so far.

The main criticism this game has been getting is that its more of the same, but for me that's all i ever wanted anyways. Love the Borderlands formula, i play mostly solo and enjoy it.

If your a fan of borderlands and still have a ps3/360, or are a pc gamer PICK THIS UP!

More of the same is all I want so it sounds good to me
Bout to start as Clap Trap right now

Played a little as Claptrap but decided to restart as Wilhelm
Loving the game so far
Level 5 and Im stuck on Deadlift
I cant even barely get a shot on him before he takes me out

I just started trying Thief (2014) again this time with a 360 controller.. It's much better than playing with kb/mouse imo for this one.. I quit the first time I tried playing it after the first couple chapters. Enjoying it much more this time and just complete chapter 3.. Decent game and I plan on finishing it this time around.. Maybe they fixed some of the bugs since release too I don't know. So far I'm having fun, don't understand the hate

Tried playing that game twice, on 360 then on PS4. Game was fucking terrible IMO.

Looked horrible even on PS4, story was just bad no way around it, combat was super dated and clunky, laughable how much loading times there is for the smallest open world I've ever seen.

I mean you can literally use your little tool thingy to pry a window open, crawl in grab whatever's in there, then when you try to leave out the same window its somehow shut again, and YOU HAVE TO PRY IT OPEN AGAIN!!! EVERY TIME lol that's just bad game design.

Game did nothing for me, Dishononred was similar, but superior in every way IMO.

I just lost 40 moonstones by opening a case full of oz units because I wasnt paying attention and didnt realize I would be charged to open it
Piss me off lol

Love the grinder in Pre Sequel (load 3 random weapons/items of same rarity, get something potentially much better in return)

I've gotten some really sick purple rare smgs so far. But one thing i am wondering, is why it will never let me grind 3 purple rare items, but i can do it with blue, white, green etc...
