Television GEN V (Season 2 Returns Sept. 17, 2025)

Feels like the first season came out 4 years ago.

8 episodes barely feels like a ‘season’ as it is.

I didn't know that.

Jena Ortega seems to have gone full Skeletor Face in the second season of Wednesday, too. :(
Lol yeah her strong features being made even more masculine is not a good look she looks like handsome Squidward now. All these actresses look like handsome Squidward.

That seems to be a common sentiment online there is a nostalgia for the 20 plus episode seasons personally I think 13-14 would be an appropriate season length.

Jenna ortega looks like marc Anthony now lol.

I thought all supes could regenerate (some faster than others) but I guess not since Cate's arm is still gone and the asshole white guy still doesn't have his dick.

- Emma is the MVP. The Rememberer scene, where's she's baked off her face, made me lol. <lmao>

- Too much Teen Drama. I don't need to know that Maria was a virgin before hooking up with Jordon. Or watch her argue with her aunt. Also, she's a very attractive girl, but for the love of God, someone get her a tier-one hairdresser. Stat! It looks like several dozen rats died on her head.

- Cipher is interesting. If Polarity is an obvious Boys-verse equivalent of Magneto, albeit with only a fraction of Erik's power, then Cipher is an evil Professor X, down to having his own Danger Room. Although at this point we have no idea what his Powers are. One scene in the trailer shows him stab himself in the hand with a knife that Polarity was threatening him with, and show no reaction to the injury. Which may indicate he has the same type of blood-based power as Marie and Newman.

I’m a few episodes in. Decent so far but I feel they are leaning way too far into the Trump MAGA thing with this season.

It kind of overshadows everything by being just way too on the nose.

I watch shit like this for escapism, not to be bashed over the head with the current politics.

Tait Fletcher continues to deliver in his typecast roles though.

I like it so far. I just get annoyed bc these shows take like 2 years to put out a season and there are 8 episodes that are maybe 40-45 mins long. Same with Peacemaker.

They spend first 6 building up the tension then have to quickly resolve in 2 eps or cliffhanger for 2 years.

The Boys is far better bc of Homelander and Butcher but gen v worth the watch.

It is very cheesy how they are portraying the maga guys and unnecessary to this show it just cheapens the story archs. I agree with you that it could have been done without the heavy politics.

What's ironic is the more they push that agenda, the more some MAGA bros will start cheering for Homelander since by now he's basically Trump with Superpowers.

Make America Super Again. :)

[SPOILER[

Episode 5.

- Great to see Stan Edger back. GCE always brings the heat.

- Newman's kid is equal parts adorable and terrifying. Sent poor Vikor straight to Valhalla. I'll pour out some Mead for my Viking bro.

- Sam's been hitting the gym. That boy's rocking the Gunz this season. 'hespect.

- Uneven pacing. The scenes with Stan and Cipher were great, but there's too much time wasted on Marie and her sister's family drama, Marie and Jordon's relationship etc. I mean, I love my girl Cricket, but I don't to watch a whole scene of her and Sam trying to figure out if they will get back together.

- Cipher is the Boys-verse equivalent of Apocalypse. His mission is to make Supes stronger. By killing any who don't meet his high standards. He's an interesting Big Bad.

- Good to see Polarity get his Powers back online and land a heavy shot on Cipher. The ending almost seemed like a homage to OG Halloween, where Loomis expects to see Michael lying on the lawn after blasting him through the window. [/SPOILER]

I lol'd at Cipher comparing the mess Polarity made when his Powers went out of control to a, "Waffle House brawl".

I just realised why both Polarity and Cipher were shocked when the Prof knocked him through the window: it's the first time Polarity has been able to effect a non-metallic object. Which potentially makes him much more powerful.

I've literally heard nothing about Season 2 aside from this thread title.

Is it any good?

It has been very poorly marketed i missed the premiere because I had not heard anything about it. Even fallout has very crap marketing and it premieres 2 months from now.
