Joseph Diaz Jr. confirmed in a Tweet sent out Tuesday night that his WBC-mandated title shot against its 126-pound champion, Gary Russell Jr., has been scheduled for May 19 in Montreal. Showtime will televise Russell-Diaz as part of a two-bout broadcast headlined by WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson (29-1, 24 KOs), who’ll defend his 175-pound championship against Badou Jack (22-1-2, 13 KOs).

May 19 would be better because Crawford/Horn is on June 9

Mostly knowing you as a shit stirring troll you do happen to have a good read on the scheduling aspect of the sport and usually make some newsworthy threads so props to you on that.
 
Good card. I hope Jack beats Stevenson but I'm having some doubts. Adonis still seems pretty deadly despite his age.
 
Quick update, for those waiting in suspense. I spoke with my girlfriend and she gave me permission to have a guys weekend and travel to my home town and go watch this event!

I was just on the MGM national harbor website, and they have nothing for 5/19.

Interestingly enough tho, Boyz II Men are still touring.

Just as excited for this one as Stevenson-Jack

Hopefully more fights between GBP and Showtime are made, this fight has a lot of potential, but it isnt getting a lot of attention that it deserves.

Its a 50/50 fight but with a gun to the head id pick Russell Jr
