People are underrated how aggressive Ngannou has been lately.
He’s not just gonna sit on the outside and wait like Lewis, he’ll charge forward and create his opportunities.

He also seems to have improved technique wise. Not over extending with every shot. He knows he doesn't have to. He can jab himself now.
Gane would need to get some respect from Ngannou or he'll be on his bike rather than putting on a clinic.
Hard to do for 5 rounds against someone with that power.
Fascinating fight to be honest.

Depending on what Stipe has left, I'd love to see him and Gane. Great boxer with good wrestling. Would be an interesting fight. Fair play to Gane, making the HW division watchable again despite not being the most exciting guy he's a stud.

Ciryl respect tremendously Francis power, he knows it ,he felt it already (they were talk about one bad sparring session going between them two in Paris Whatsapp, Francis was pissed Gane took sparring to soft and goofy and went hard).

Francis is not a head hunter, all his KO have been counter from fighter doing a mistake. Ciryl will never overextend.

I doubt it. Gane's bladed stance will take just a few hard leg kicks from Francis and Gane will have mobility issues. The bladed stance makes lateral movement more difficult and moving backwards is dangerous vs Francis. Also, Francis has a great chin and Gane isn't as powerful as stipe. And finally Francis will definitely be the stronger guy in the clinch. Overeem couldn't budge Francis at all. A lil wall n stall takes the pep out of anyone's step. Gane will have to fight a perfect fight to win without a wrestling threat. I'm not sure why many believe this will be so easy for Gane.

But Ngannou Leg kicks are never lend with a set up IIRC, they are always landed naked. It worked for Franck against JDS, Blaydes, Miocic.
I highly doubt this would work against MT Phenom Gane who will see them a mile away, if not checked.

I totally hear you his kicks are naked, however Gane isn’t using his muay thai stance in mma. MT has a more squared stance that allows one to check kicks more easily and allows for more power to be generated from the lead hand however, this squared stance sacrifices mobility which is why you always see thai fighters use a high guard shell to block a lot of attacks. bladed stance make checking kicks far more difficult but allows for evasive movement in and out. naked kicks land at a higher percentage against anyone with a bladed stance because it's harder to balance and get your leg up standing sideways.

I agree, I still think that Gane and his camp are very aware of this threat and will be prepared ,this fight being prepared by Fernand and Gane since 2 years ago. Gane doesn't fight like a MT guy but because he has been competing in MT for years I think he still have some extraordinary instinct on when a guy want to leg kick (not like Conor who has a wide stance but no MT background) ,he will be bouncing out of the way of Ngannou kicks making him miss and tired and will punish him. That's my take but who knows, we'll see. Great fight.

All jokes aside I think GSP is a very Gould candidate for GOAT status but not a comparison you want to make when an undefeated fighter just won an interim title and is about to face the champion.
