I've been thinking long and hard on this one, and I can't see a more logical next fight for either guy for the following reasons:

1) Both have recently beaten JDS in similar fashion (albeit Gane in a more dominant fashion)

2) Both are linked (indirectly) by Francis Ngannou, who put Biggi Boi to sleep, and who was also Gane's training partner in France.

3) Both will feel that they match up well vs the other

4) Rozen is a much more winnable fight for Gane compared to Blaydes (who I think he beats anyway), so is a safer matchup for the UFC who no doubt will wanna build Gane up.

5) Will propel Gane right into title contention, and at a much needed time as HW is getting really thin at the moment

6) A loss for either one isn't the end of the world due to the prestige of each fighter. Whoever wins gets close to the belt, and whoever loses will still be a respected top contender. This wouldn't be possible if one of them loses to a Volkov or Lewis.

7) Last but not least, it's a fucking EXCITING fight!

My prediction if fight does happen - Gane outclasses him easily, and wins via submission.

Gane bless.

It's indeed a good matchup but TBH I wouldn't match the youngers guys if not for the belt

I am telling you guys, Gane is just gonna be a Rozen 2.0. Decent Fighter but not going to be able to handle Francis or even Curtis Blaydes.

To be honest i haven't been impressed with Rozenstruik. His has some great wins in kickboxing but i expected him to be way more technical. But obviously power matters
Yeah in his UFC run I agree. Looks sort of slow, flatfooted, and lacking variety but has shown that he has a lot of power. Can clean your clock if you leave your chin out there.

I would like to see Gane vs Volkov in the future. But until then feed Gane to Hardy.

why? he's a HW. to me, he's pretty damn good because he has excellent timing and distance management. much more impressive than Gane

It's the opposite. Both JDS and Overeem were outstriking Rozenstruik before they got caught. He has power but his technique is lacking. Gane looks like a guy who could contend for the belt, Rozenstruik doesn't.

This isn't exactly breaking news. It's literally the only matchup that fits. Literally every top 10 guy except Rozenstruik is already matched up (Stipe-Ngannou, Blaydes-Lewis, and Overeem-Volkov) or comming off a loss (JDS, Shamil, and Sakai).

Also, TS states, " Last but not least, it's a fucking EXCITING fight!" but then predicts that Gane "outclasses him easily." That's a bit incongruous, don't you think TS?

i think if technique mattered that much Francis Ngannou wouldn't be the #1 contender by literally knocking 99% of the people he fights out in a minute with haymakers and Black Beast wouldn't be one of the top KO artists in the division. i think Rozenstriuk has decent setups for his left hand and i think Gane will have to move a lot in order to defend the way he seems to do in fights, with footwork. if he will use another kick strategy, i think Rozenstriuk will counter and win. unless we find out Gane has an iron chin, if that's the case then i do believe he can contend for a title.

so you think Gane will beat Rozenstriuk if they fight?
