Close fight but definitely the wrong decision. Even Gane knew it. At least he was classy about it.

Its fairly telling he knew he lost and behaved as such, even honest enough to acknowledge it.

i need to rewatch it but did think rounds 1 and 2 were close and could’ve gone either way. Round 3 was obviously very clear but I can see a path for Gane with two close rounds.

Reminds me a bit of Holloway vs Volk 2 with the close and clear rounds.

But I see why Gane was given the win, Volkov having the last good impression of laying on Gane for 2 minutes makes people think it was more one sided than it was

having a round end when youre caught in a sub, good or not (and it was actually okay) isnt gonna win you a round ever lol

I give points for the sub attempt but at most it would just reverse position from there. All of that was for at best a sweep.

Edit: Nvm fogot R1 Guillotine. Idk how to score that. I don't believe in them. They're the white belt sub of the world and only work on unconscious opponents for the most part.

Ciryl was on his back most the time and Volkov landest the biggest shots lol..

He didn't, the backfist didn't wobble Gane at all & Gane's right hand did wobble Volkov in round 2.

In rounds 1 & 2 Gane had more total; strikes landed, sub attempts, & control time.

Volkov clearly won the 3rd but, clearly lost the 1st, and the 2nd was very close.

The term robbery shouldn't be used for close fights.
