Economy gamestop, the only stock left in the world

Fine feel free to quote me being a "dick" to someone in any of the trading threads. Go for it. 1000s of posts to work with. I say mean things about billionaires on CNBC and either cheer on wins or try to say something constructive if I see someone make a trade I think will lose them money.

I invited someone into the trading thread from elsewhere on the 'dog because he mentioned being a trader and he starts spewing barbs at everyone and now making stuff up about me fighting him, and thanks to him thinking we all needs to obsess over GME, we've merged into some other shit thread.

This is my reply to his huge GME fight with RobMafia lol:

This is the dude accusing me of "gatekeeping" while he just goes around yelling at everyone picking fights in the thread:

Maybe your usual M.O. has clouded my judgment. I'll gaze upon with an open mind moving forward.

Yeah, and I stand by my words. After, we've got a lot of fucking idiots here accusing me of being a noob and your run-of-the-mill WSB retard.

Why the fuck should I discuss stocks on a boomer platform like this, when I can be discussing it in real time during market hours on my Discord server with the homies?

Fucking losers.
That's fine dude, I tagged you and invited you into a thread that had been operating cheerfully for literally a year+ without problems among people with disparate political views. I'm sure it's just us, not you rambling to yourself with the same 4 swear-laden retorts while you self-erect some fake accusations of being left out or inexperience.

Focusing on one ticker (GME) is a big no-no here because apparently, you're a noob to trading if you're into the meme stonks.

And yet, I don't think people still quite understand how GME can affect the entire market in general:

it's you, one other person, and a bot.

<JagsKiddingMe>

protip: brackis1, i, and others also are on discord. lolz @ thinking discord is some kind of cutting edge communication program, it's basically a glorified AOL chatroom.

and i don't recall ever calling you a n00b. just a liar. with proof...

Yeah, let's keep playing this stupid game as if it's going to do anything to our ports.

You wanna act like a badass gatekeeper of this stupid thread? Go ahead. You're the OP, anyways.

with the victim complex that you display, i guess you might not be a shill and actually believe the bs gme tin foil you posted. it's sad, because that actually would imply you're a n00b. maybe you were just projecting that, after all.

ffs, i never stopped you from posting and i straight up peaced out this week. you've been bitching about "gatekeeping" all week, even when i wasn't even here.

lol, look at this fucking idiot trying to conjure up some bullshit cognitive dissonance.

How is your port doing these days?

Nah, let's give it another month or so before the comparisons happen. I believe in the value of patience. After all, it's not like I decided to FOMO back into GME like the rest of these oblivious, bandwagon-hopping dipshits have when the 2nd pop occurred.

Welcome to the official Sherdog Stonks thread, where taking people's comments out of context is the norm and losing money is the goal. lmfao

honestly, if you read the last ~20 posts, you should get a pretty good idea.

feel free to post in these, we don't mind new blood at all. we just don't like jackass shills, evidently.

Man this place is toxic.
On that note.
I’ve made more money fucking around with gme this year then my actual conservative portfolio..
What the gme thing has taught me..

1) hedge funds can do whatever the fuck they want ,when they want, even if it means shorting so much they crash the damn economy. Retail plays a game that hedges lose at and regulations are back on the table lol.

todays hearings proved all that.
2) get used to meme stocks, the cats out of the bag. This will be a “thing” from now on. The internet is undefeated. Enough retail interest around a stock...boom, short sellers lose a billion.
3) I find it ironic that boomers complain about manipulation but don’t say shit when they ladder attack all day to drive down a price and double down that with msm cheerleaders.
4) a meme stonk at the right place at the right time can crash a market. The hedge funds expose themselves with no regard to the point that there gonna fuck around and we will be back in 2008. Obviously the specifics where different in 2008 but the premise is the same.

get that bread..any way possible..if it’s making you money do it.

juat throwing this out there
gme at 200 still it wont be this cheap again
get on it before u miss out

Gonna cross-post this to three different threads as a public service.
GameStop reports wider loss, announces partnership with crypto exchange FTX
CNBC said:
GameStop said Wednesday that quarterly sales declined and losses widened, as it burned through cash and inventory swelled.

The video game retailer also disclosed a new partnership with crypto exchange FTX.

Shares of the company rose about 10% in after hours trading.

In the second fiscal quarter ended July 30, the company’s total sales dropped to $1.14 billion from $1.18 billion in the year-ago period. Its losses widened to $108.7 million, or 36 cents per share, compared with a loss of $61.6 million, or 21 cents, a year prior.

GameStop’s results cannot be compared with estimates because too few analysts cover the company. It did not provide a financial outlook and hasn’t provided one since the start of the pandemic.

The brick-and-mortar retailer is trying to adapt its business to a digital world. It’s gotten new leadership, including board chair Ryan Cohen, the founder of Chewy and former activist investor for Bed Bath & Beyond, and CEO Matt Furlong, an Amazon veteran. It’s also looked to new ways to make money, including nonfungible tokens.

But the company has struggled to drive profits, leading it to trim costs and shake up leadership. Last month, it fired chief financial officer Mike Recupero and laid off employees across departments.
I still don't fathom how this became the hill for the Occupy Wall Street crowd to die on. Gamestop continues to hemorrhage money, but because it leans into the latest fad conjob cooked up by scheming suits, NFTs, while marrying itself to crypto, its stock somehow magically manages to go up despite posting a real loss of 1.5% of its net stock worth in a single quarter. Oh, but they hired a guy from Bed, Bath, and Beyond!! You know, because they're doing so great. All is well.

Also, yeah, you're reading that right. $0.36 is 1.5% of a share, right now. It's at $24.04, presently. Remember how crazy this got? How stupid? When this stock went above $500 per share in intraday trading? Meanwhile, that very week that things took off, in January 2021, I recalled reading a Wall Street Journal article where a longtime analyst who had tracked Gamestop for years pegged its truth worth around $16/share (lower than where it started). Looks like it needs to see a few more quarters like this to get there.

How many times is this corpse going to get saved? First it was Microsoft, and then it was activist investors. This is twice in the past 3 years alone. What's funniest is the people most flummoxed by the way in which this company was suddenly championed are the people who are supposed to be its customers: gamers. You could have asked any gamer in the last five years what they thought of Gamestop's business prospects, and they would have scoffed. You probably would have heard, "Who shops at Gamestop?" Like so...
Gamestop is going out of business.
I'm always amazed every time I'm reminded this company is still in business.

As relevant as Blockbuster.
Go ahead and peruse that thread if you want to see how gamers reacted to that headline back in 2019.

lolz @ a mod necrobumping this that was already well over the 1k post limit.

is that (1k limit) a thing or did we not need to keep making new threads?

anyway, lolz @ gme/bbby and cohen getting sued for pump&dumps

I still don't fathom how this became the hill for the Occupy Wall Street crowd to die on.

"never underestimate human stupidity"

tl;dr - they're just complete morons. wsb had much less than 1m before the 1/2021 squeeze/pump&dump. since, 11m joined and the OGs pretty much all left. so it's a gigantic group of retards who mostly know nothing about the market/trading/anything above a 4th grade education and think that any time gme/bbby drops, it's the result of evil hedge funds. and that ken griffin is personally out to get them. but this is a dead, flogged, buried, dug up, flogged, and flogged some more... remnants that was once maybe a horse.

edit: i see you posted this in the other thread https://forums.sherdog.com/threads/...ock-dividend-on-the-table-for-summer.4233287/

that should answer the question, for anyone who didn't know. these are the geniuses...
