Gamer Art/Setups/Memes

It's funny, I read that some Ubi devs were bashing their quest design, yet this is pretty much exactly how they'd go about things.

Sometimes it's annoying to have to use a guide to compete certain objectives, especially NPC quests, but I'll choose From's method over Ubi's "go here" UI vomit/quest design anytime.

I'm sure there can be a happy medium, as I do love a good story/cut scene-driven game too, but I adore having to find our way around the world From-style. It's crazy how they can invest so much time and resources into levels/quests that aren't expected to be found. It makes finding them so much more magical.

It always takes me back to the first Zelda game. I didn't know what the fuck was going on, but it was one hell of and adventure

One time I saw a sign that said "liar ahead". The message in front of that said "secret wall". There was, in fact, a secret wall. I probably would have swung at it regardless, but because of that one message, it's not even an option now.

The way they made open world in Elden Ring makes you want to explore unlike Ubisoft games where the cluttered handholding ui and in-your-face storytelling makes you feel like you are on rails in a open world game.

Ill be honest tho, ive watched a few youtube videos on where to find some items in Elden Ring.

This is me in every game, regardless of genre. It could be BFG ammo in Doom Eternal or Rune Arcs in Elden Ring; doesn’t matter, I’m hoarding them and won’t end up using any.
Same. I had to post this when I saw it because it's me to a T, being hard on myself and saving things for what lies ahead and sure enough, at some point ahead no longer exists.

I think I may, emphasis on MAY, try to use some of these run arcs for Elden Ring. I’m 61 hours in, at the capital now, with like 22 arcs in my inventory. Might use them for major boss fights.

Have about the same quantity myself. First one I ever popped was mid-Morgott last weekend and honestly, a number of status bars appear upon use, showing incoming buffs/resistances, but it really wasn't the temporary deification I was hoping for and certainly didn't get me through the encounter; beat him later just on strategy, wits, and old-fashioned Estus. Let me know if you've a demonstrable power-up or superior performance of a kind.

G2 made a neat short skit for the release of their R6 in game skin

Redditor threw this throwback up – Palace Software's Barbarian from 1987. Can't wait for time machines to materialise... I'm gone, baby.
