This is also the age of chubby middle aged white dudes crying foul and blaming social justice (most of the time rightfully so) for everything they don’t like.

Bran is close to an all-knowing entity who is Ned Stark’s last living son, cannot reproduce and has no reason to be swayed by personal gain. “Love is the death of duty”. Bran can never truly love, he can only be objective.

I predicted he would rule if there were any ruler at the end, back as far as season 2. His lessons from maester lewin, bloodraven, etc

He was far from “the least likely” you just dont pay attention

My girlfriend had a pretty interesting observation about Dany and her dragons. When the dragon's hatched in Drogo's pyre, you had the recent loss of her baby and the witch responsible burned in the same pyre. It mirrors her dragons pretty well, two loyal sharing the name of her husband and son, and a third who betrayed her falling to foreign magic.

He's the keeper of the world's knowledge FFS. He used his knowledge and abilities played everyone. Got everybody to do what they had to do for him to win. That's life.

Just because he wasn't on the front line swinging swords and shit doesn't mean shit. And yeah, he's a "cripple", much like Steven Hawkings is a cripple. It doesn't really mean much when you're mentally overpowered to an infinite level.

Scenes like this and Dany's death required two full seasons to marinate to reach their full potential.

I'm not going to say I wouldn't have wanted more, but they put in the work here across the seasons. This was an incredibly powerful scene for me.

I would have actually really liked if they had made Bran evil or morally questionable because he's just working to gain control and bring magic back in to the world. It would have been a good way to keep the world feeling huge, mysterious, and beyond our control, as well as giving a true bitter sweet ending.
