Television Game of Thrones S08E06 Discussion Thread: Burn them all! (the writing staff) | Our Watch has ended

Jon killing Daenerys was pretty obvious and made sense overall, just the way it was done was so anticlimatic. No one else around, some lame ass crying....then the mother of dragons is done with one stab to the stomach.

I did like Drogon melting down the iron throne though, something I thought would happen.

The wild north. You think Tormund et al are gonna care about some rules some southerners came up with for Jon? Jon's gonna be hilt deep in some wildling pussy before long.
Jon's kids, with knowledge of their Targeryean heritages will attack the south with an army of wildlings as the new kings beyond the wall

they will ally with their kin in winterfell and take over the 6 kingdoms with Fire and Blood

Jon didn’t want the throne. He truly didn’t. His ending worked for me....he loved Tormund and the fact that he was there waiting for him with his wolf let us know this was the plan. When he looked back at the door closing, he knew his old life was over and new one was beginning...and he already banged a wilding and now will again.

This season summed up, no sarcasm at all you guys

it was okay

his ending was happy

Not taking away from the overall disappointment of this episode but at the very least Sansa did have a rather satisfying arc and conclusion. I don't mind how she was sent off. She really became the most likable figure of authority. No one's questioning her right to rule.
Not me, I cant stand that stuck up b****

As a whole this was by far the worst season BUT... all things considered I'm fairly happy with how they concluded things. After all the shit writing decisions they made over the past 4 seasons I think it all got wrapped up as best could be. Not brilliant or perfect by any means but I did enjoy it and I'm good with autistic Bran Stark being the one true king.

I always knew the ending of GOT would break my heart just didn’t know it would be from shit writing

yeah, Jon was never meant to be king. I wish he had something to fucking do this season though because the end of his arc felt so unsatisfying.
I think in the books it might playout almost identically and just make more sense
dude has a tragic shitty life, and what he really wants is to be free and he gets that in the end
there was really nothing special about him, which is cool but you're right - they just hand him stand around for two seasons and stare at the ground

One thing that was left unspoken was how anyone even knew Jon killed Dany. Drogon bailed with her corpse- I doubt he went to lay her at Greyworm's feet, "Look what he did!"' Figured he took her body to Old Valyria or something like that.
1)The fresh blood in the snow
2)The unsullied who had to have been close by
3) Jon doesn't lie, as they pointed out last episode

So who was green eyes that Arya is supposed to kill?

Also Cersei’s psychic prediction was only 90% accurate.

They could not have picked a more harsh and pointless ending for the audience.

Prophesies are meaningless in the show boss
