This is a good point, but not in the way you intended.

Khabib's footwork is actually vastly underrated. He is able to backup, to one side, or another, faster than almost anyone can come forward with their follow-up shots.

It is an outstanding strategy for luring dumb fucks in ... for the sudden charge & reversal. Justin will be no different.

If Justin tags Khabib, Khabib has the ability to slip and skate out of the way ... directly backwards, or sideways to the left, or sideways to the right ... and once the opponent has completely committed to the pursuit, Khabib will suddenly dive-tackle them, and take them down, again reestablishing his absolute authority.

Remember we're talking about the same Justin Gaethje was taken down by Poirier and Alvarez, neither of whom could do shit to Khabib.

However, he is slow, ponderous, and easy to read. Khabib is quicker than Justin, faster on his feet, and has 1000x the grappling experience.

(Sorry, Division I wrestling is fly shit compared to gold-medal combat Sambo, and the level of absolute pure combat grappling experience that Khabib has been privileged to receive for his entire life.)

Honestly, it's not even a fair fight. Justin has less than 5% chance.

Although Justin has a puncher's chance, his lack of speed, his lack of body strength, his lack of DEEP experience, and his lack of stamina (in comparison to Khabib) will spell his demise before round five ever happens.

gaethje is good at cutting off fighters. he never chances in a direct line.

That was an all time great performance, some of the Foot Sweeps he against Dustin were insane, he is on such a higher level than everyone else when it comes to Cage Wrestling

A lot of us take Khabib for granted, he has two more fights and he will probably disappear, for the most part, I'm trying to appreciate while he's here

its my favorite khabib performance. He made a dude that went through 3 ufc champions* look like he didn't belong with him in the ring.

I didn't enjoy the conor fight much. I thought it was a dominant performance but didn't really get to show off khabib's skills there.

2. If Justin does take Khabib down, Khabib is a lifetime Combat-Sambo specialist, and has forgotten more submission moves than Justin will ever know.

You really should look at some old footage of a young Khabib, facing other combat Sambo specialists. Many of these were incredibly muscular, and talented fellow Russians. Khabib was taken down a few times. His ability and tenacity, to immediately begin advancing his position, reversing the position, gaining top position, and then finishing ... Is better than any grappler on the planet today. (As his record reflects.)

Once you see how good a young Khabib is, even off his back, even against bigger foes, you'll realize just how deep the water is for Justin Gaethje, facing an absolutely peak-condition Khabib in the prime of his fighting life ...
