I guess the hate runs that deep around here. Gaethje did the exact same thing to Cowboy and no one thought it was suspicious. Cerrone is just at that point in his career. A lot of people knew Conor was going to beat Cowboy so they started the "fixed" narrative prior to the fight.

Another thing, Conor's only chance at redemption was to steamroll Cerrone. Imagine if he had win a 5 rounder, even as 50-45, and he would have been ridiculed for not stopping cowboy. Even if it took 2 rounds to stop him it would have been a big criticism against him. He did what he had to do and stopped cowboy within a minute. I guess that makes people mad, I wanted Cerrone to KO him viciously but it is what it is.

Yeah and it is true. The only way Conor could have actually won this fight was to do what he did. It was a very clutch performance given the opponent. Winning any other way would have been a loss for him. No one is denying that he should have fought Gaethje over Cowboy. I think Conor and everyone around him wanted to get a W at all costs while still fighting a credible opponent. I just dont think Conor is too worried about Gaethje considering he stopped both guys who beat Gaethje.

Shocking number of people become emotionally involved with fighters and cannot be objective. Cowboy does not suck, nor does Conor. It was a favorable match-up for Conor, especially when Cowboy stated that he wants to keep the fight standing. Conor vs. Masvidal will be closer than most think and Conor might have a slight edge.

Can Conor compete with Usman and Colby, probably not, he does not have the strength to keep these guys off of him and will get mauled on the ground.

Can Coner beat Khabibi in a re-match, probably not, same reason as above.

Not fixed in my opinion...... however Cerrone seemed way too "fine" and "cool" with getting absoutley starched with total ease.. it didn't sit well with me. The whole thing was weird. He talked and talked and talked on how he was gonna do this and that, but he just wilted and wanted out after a few shots and didn't want to fight back.

The fight was not fixed like many claim, I believe it was legit.. But I feel like you have already lost when you are so fine and cool with losing.
