MMA Junkie dropping a few factoids in a short vid regarding this weekends headliners:

This has violent bloodbath written all over it from the word go. Two of the most ferocious strikers in any of the divisions. What fantastic match-making for we the fans...

A violence lovers dream. Who is going to spam more leg kicks between the two i wonder?

I'd watch either of them fight off a bad cold.

Going with Gaethje for the w though.

My personal most anticipated fight of this year

Potential FOTY candidate right here.

I actually wonder if Gaethje will pressure more than ever before. Just go balls to the wall. The problem with that is, Barboza has shown an uncanny ability to hang in there against the best of them, take a beating not get beat and come back hard.

I look forward to this chess match.

I’m pulling for JG but I think Barrosa is the more polished striker.

There's no loser in a fight like this. It'll be a war and I'm cool with whoever prevails. (I think Gaethje will knock Barboza out, though)

I got Justin "Just Bleed" Gaethje in this one

<{JustBleed}>

We should have sig bets whether Justin will shoot for a takedown for not

he has also shown to get stopped by pressure heavy wrestlers who like to strike like 5 of his 6 losses are from that type of fighter.

Yes. I think he's grown substantially since, say, his Michael Johnson fight.

The interesting thing with Gaethje is that everyone agrees he has great grappling defense - uses his great grappling base so that no one can take him down - but we haven't seen him use grappling offense. And of course Barboza won't be going for a takedown.

I would applaud him if he did. As exciting as he is it wouldn't hurt to mix in a few TD's and fight smart once and awhile.

If he wants to have any type of longevity that is.
