BJ still has plenty of fans who remember the crazy shit he accomplished and the ridiculous challenges he took on time and time again unfortunately with no concern for his own longevity.

No real fan stops being a fan because he gets dropped with his hands at his side in a street fight after he retired, and if they did they would probably come back when they watch the second part of that video when he gets up and chokes the dude out.

Don't get me wrong though, Sean Penn's been in some pretty good movies over the years, lol.

He was at his best stepping into the cage at 167, (even fought at that for most of his WW fights), but still beat the 2 best the Gracie's had to offer at the time at MW, (cause the Gracie's hated him and wanted to get as much of an advantage as they could) and beat up Machida in round 1 despite giving up 30 pounds and being fat as fuck and made Machida turn into a grappler for the rest of the fight.

BJ was one of a kind but he was also to much of a competitor for his own good and only wanted the biggest possible challenge.

Fuck, even Wanderlai at the height of his dominance went radio silent after talking shit about BJ and BJ responding by asking him to fight at the next event. Wanderlai didn't say a word after that and completely ignored the challenge.
