G-Shock or Fossil?

Most people don't seem to sport watches these days because they can get the time from their cell phones, but I like wearing watches regardless.

What is your favorite inexpensive watch: G-Shock or Fossil? Fossil watches are great for casual wear, while G- Shock watches are more sporty. I like G-Shock watches but the face looks way too large on my wrist. I think you need big wrists for this watch to look normal. Fossil watches is a great bang for your buck.

Depends on what you need it for.

I actually NEED a watch for work. I use a G-Shock. They are amazing.

For casual though, I dont like it cause it is plastic and gaudy. I have a decent Fossil in black and a stainless Seiko for casual wear.

I need to get a good brown leather casual watch.

I do agree though that they arent great. Seiko and Citizen both make better watches and much more, if any more expensive.

Orient do fully automatics with sweep hands made to good quality for not much at all. See their Mako for example

I've got a solar g-shock (older version of this AWGM100-1ACR model) that I've been very happy with. It's a bit on the bulky side but I never have to worry about it breaking and it's easy to use.

My G-Shock. I like it because it's not as bulky as other G-Shocks. It has a ton of cool features, like being solar powered and synced to the atomic clock. It's taken a beating, though.
I would love a classier watch, but I'm pretty active and I know I would just destroy any expensive time piece I own.

If I had to buy a cheap watch I would get a Swatch or G Shock.
Not Fossil.

They're both reasonably durable, though Gshock is better.
