Good list. Shows Aldos body of work.

Should be noted that Volk is undefeated against guys on that list. His head to head closes the gap and creates a legit argument for him.

Also it ignores losses, which do matter in a ranking scenario.

For example I believe Volk is 4-0 vs guys on that list while Aldo is 2-4.

*I'm not arguing for Volk over Aldo, he has some work to do still imo, just showing a bit of respect for Volk and the career and championship reign he is having. I have often in the past been the guy posting Aldos resume and talking his WEC wins up and I appreciate that TS included his WEC title fights as they were the premier org at the time for MMA at 145 and 135. Those are legit world title wins in my book.

Well, he needs to stay at FW and be active like this year. By ends year he would have fought 3 times. Do that for 2 years and he breaks Aldo's defenses record. But I'm not sure if it's possible since he will soon be out of his prime.

Good list...if you're ranking by wins I agree...but ranking by fighter I would pit Conor right behind Max.

Tbf I think we can agree that Aldo wasn't at his peak when he and Volk fought. Not that Volk wouldn't be able to beat him in his prime. But just saying.

Why no love for Miguel Torres?

He had 4 title fight wins and 3 defenses during a 17 fight win streak.

One "surprise sex van" joke and he is no longer welcome in the rankings even on the dog?

Agreed with the top of the list

6. Cole Escovedo - 2 title fight wins - 1 defense
7. Conor - 2 title fight wins (1 interim) - no defenses

Surely beating Jose Aldo, Chad Mendes, young Max, Poirier is better than beating Anthony Hamlett and Philip Perez

You should add title fight losses as well. Your stats make it seem that a loss never counts.

Jose Aldo win was a fluke.
Max was nothing compared to now.

Poirier win was legit, I think at the time Poirer had like most wins in FW UFC history.
Mendes took the fight on short notice. But I still think it's a legit win because Conor had to overcome adversity to find the finish.
