Movsar Evloev deserves first crack at Volks. afterwards, the two scenarios:

Volks stays champ
- if Jean Silva beats Diego Lopes, then Salivatin' Silva ought to be the follow-up #1 contender.
- I would love to see Yair Rodriguez vs. Lerone Murphy. If Lerone wins, then he's a fresh, new contender.

Movsar becomes champ
- winner of Jean Silva vs. Diego Lopes gets first crack at Movsar (even Diego because he hasn't fought a champ Movsar)
- if Holloway defeats Poirier, then the BMF champ can be the follow-up #1 contender.
- if Yair vs. Lerone does happen, whoever wins is a fresh-new #1 contender (even Yair because he also hasn't fought a champ Movsar)

if any of the follow-up #1 contenders become champ, then of course that mixes things up a bit more.

Aljo would be close and a fresh contender if he beats T-city.
Youssef Zalal seems to be making waves since his return to the UFC, riding a 9 fight win streak, 4 of those in the UFC and his most recent win against Calvin Kattar. He is also 1 of 2 individuals who have gone the distance with Illia Topuria, and the only guy to not look like minced meat at the end of a fight with Illia, I think he is the darkhorse of the division.
Also Aaron Pico could throw a spanner in the works. I think FW is in good hands and there are quite a few good match ups to come.

A little more into the future, we have guys like David Onama (4 fight win streak), Steve Garcia (5 fight win streak, all via tko) and Chepe Mariscal (8 fight win streak, 5-0 in the UFC) on the come up.

I think Lerone wins the title at some point, he just fights incredibly safe, calculated and he has a great well rounded skill set with technical striking, his strength and conditioning make him a problem for an entire 5 rounds and he can hang with the strongest at 145 so you know it'll be difficult to manhandle him. He's just responsible and doesn't give many openings and for that I think he will cruise his way to UFC gold.
