Reportedly he was out drinking heavily Friday evening with friends & family. He got so shitfaced that he was escorted out of the pub where he collapsed and hit his head on a lamppost. It seems Johnny Nelson was spot on. There won't be a rematch.

Given all the talks he gave about drinking, drugs, depression and suicidal tendancies it's not looking good ...
His PR people have been claiming he can't wait for the rematch and that he's in good spirits. Let's see how they try to spin this. If I were them I'd say it wasn't even Fury. You only see a partial glimpse of his face on video for a fraction of a second.

Could mean something. Could mean nothing.

If it becomes an extended pattern of behavior leading into camp, then it will be a problem. But we don't know that it will.
It's not looking good. We only know about this particular incident because someone filmed it and sold the footage to The Sun. Fury has been very silent lately apart from wishing Queensberry luck against Matchroom. This could be what he's been up to for the last few weeks and who knows how long it might last.

Fury cannot stay retired even if he retires because boxing is the only thing preventing him from becoming a complete trainwreck.

Most people retire so they enjoy life with their families and whatnot. For Fury, the choice is between boxing and overdosing in a trailer park.

I mean there isn't much wrong being drunk. I'm not sure how much you could read into it, might just be a one off occasion and Fury is known to to be a little wild. Usyk is a seasoned pro and well disciplined, hence why he's so good. Fury takes short cuts.

He's back on the drink after allegedly being off of it for a year.

I don't believe that for a second. But I do believe that it was reported by a credible source. But I think he himself is full of shit. I think the rematch happens because he will make a boat load more of cash. Unless there is shady business usyk wins again and fury retires and it's back to the pub with him.

I'm only hoping that beterbiev can beat bivol and uysk drops back to cw and they can face off as pros. It's a massive stretch that can happen but people have talked about it before.
