How were so many people fooled by this can fed fraud? I will never understand this.
She had the premiere American Olympic medal pedigree, the heart- breaking background, the beautiful looks, and a brutal finishing streak.
It's completely inappropriate to say her opponents were "cans". They were the best of that time and place and therefore are legitimate.
Now, if you're implying people believed the hype such as her saying she had the belief she could win against Cain and Mayweather you're mistaken because some of that is taken out of context and no one believed the extreme hype.
She just stated her confidence as a fighter led her to believe she could win against Cain. Believing in themselves is a trait every fighter has to have and that all she was saying. Rogan's hype job was alluding to if they fought in an actual fight, there could be a chance where, if she managed to grapple with him, there could be a possibility of her winning. That's all.
No one believed she'd actually have a chance against them. Also, people really started having serious doubts about her viability when those training videos started coming out because they clearly show a total lack of discipline and fundamentals for striking and her coach was literally a striking based coach. When we started seeing them we all knew she was going to get lit up eventually.
I think the only people that were "fooled" were teenage girls being spoon-fed a mass media image. And I dont know many 6'5" single digital BF% teenage girls posting on Sherdog.
