Entertaining but the drop off in talent from Islam/Ilia to these two is appalling.

Now that Chandler is gone, I struggle to see a top 15 lightweight that paddy can beat. Gaethje is still relevant, but I'd pick at probably 6-8 other ufc lightweights over him.

It was very fun, with a lot of back and forth. Khabib/Islam fights are very one sided

Paddy was still attacking the legs and body in round 3, I think in round 4 he was just too hurt and tired. Although I am surprised that he didn't attempt to clinch or wrestle.

Gaethje is one of the best LW's in UFC history despite never winning a belt (yet).

He just fought in the wrong era like Dustin (the Khabib/Islam era)

Eh I think he’d have a good shot against the guys directly below him. Hooker, Gamrot, BSD. I don’t think he beats anyone ranked above him though. Not without developing some offensive wrestling or a little more finishing ability on the feet.

He’s not gonna beat BSD tbh.

Hooker is the only one I can see him beating cuz Hooker is a pretty dumb fighter himself and would engage in a brawl that could go either way.

They rolled out two guys for a highly entertaining headliner

Then awarded the winner a belt to signify that he has now proven himself to by the 5th best LW in the UFC

Dude beat retired Dustin, in a fight he was getting beat up, fiziev (decent win), and chandler (2-4 in the ufc) and now Pimbleton whose last opponents had a combined record of like 0-13 is their last fights… is that the elite of today?
