This post says a lot about how tribalism just totally fucking blocks people's ability to think.

Any real patriotic American of any political view finds this shit alarming. Think about it (I know it hurts) but a country with a lot of resources can spend relatively little to sway a presidential election. Imagine what they could do to any other, less public election?

This shit is very alarming, not funny or a partisan issue.

So if Americans want to put America first, why was there such an outrage with Trump’s “America First” slogan?

Why are you assuming the two groups overlap exclusively? Also, someone can believe in putting America’s interests first while also believing Trumps policies aren’t in America’s best interest.

For example, some people don’t view ignoring foreign influence as genuinely being in America’s best interest.

Wow, so what other countries are colluding with our political parties to influence election results and affect our foreign policy?

IDK, but our intelligence agencies do and we should listen to them.

If Russia is spending very little money and influencing our elections. What other foreign governments are running similar campaigns?

Does the first amendment apply to political speech by foreign nationals?

I like Rosenstein said that this particular Indictment didn't involve any Americans and than Mueller unsealed a Guilty Plea from an American immediately afterwards. Don't get to comfortable.

But those nothingburgers tho...
"The effort went well beyond social media. The Russian effort included organizing rallies for Trump and paying Americans to participate in them or perform tasks at them. One American was paid to build a cage on a flatbed truck; another was paid to portray Clinton in a prison uniform."

I don't know, I'm just an accountant. But we should listen to warnings from our agencies that do know this stuff instead of attacking them publicly. We need to recognize that we are vulnerable and defend against these attacks.
