"I'm ok with blatant criminality in Trump's campaign so long as it can't be pinned on Trump personally"
Did I say that? No, I said he and Pence will skate because at the end of the day I don't think they'll have anything to nail either of them specifically on. Now impeaching him for something else, who knows.

That is exactly what you are saying when you make that argument.

Collusion is not a charge you idiot
There is no collusion
There are no charges related to collusion
There was no collusion
He investigation was abot collusion
So can we all now admit the whole premise was dumbfuckery?
Or are we back to well THIS is now it

No actually its not. It's making the statement that I don't believe they will find anything with which to knock him out with. His crew? obviously, we're seeing it unfold. Him though...naw. And Pence? I believe he's even more untouchable regarding Russian collusion than Trump.

Nothing to do with Russia
Something to do with Russia
As far as I know nobody that works for me has anything to do with Russia
Manafort charged with numerous crimes associated with Russia
Trump "I have a relationship with Putin"
Trump "I have never met Putin"

Now the investigation is about collusion, obstructing justice, money laundering and it's going to be lying to the special council if he ever talks because he is so stupid he won't be able to help himself.

Nice try

And how many times was this not it
LOL it's such a stupid post to make

How many times have I said Trump will be impeached... How many times have I said I think he should be impeached
Here's a hint the answer is zero or close to it so when that's how you respond to one of my posts it's just moronic

Trump defenders cannot argue in facts. They can only argue in Fox News sound bites

I've said from day one that I didn't think Trump was behind anything but there needed to be an investigation

If the investigation finds nothing on him im good .

I wonder how long it will drag on though looking for that illusive scrap of something they might pin on him cause at some point, it has to end. Unless they plan on keeping on till 2020. Finally find that something they can throw out there against a 2nd run.

I think by summer we'll either be at the end or the end will be in sight which is not an unreasonable time line .

Update of the day:

(Reuters) - Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his office have interviewed at least one member of a Facebook team that was associated with Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, Wired magazine reported on its website on Friday.

Per the NYT as of January 25, 2018: Trump almost precipitated his own Saturday Night Massacre in July. He suggested firing Mueller and gave three reasons: 1.) Mueller was involved in a dispute over fees for Trump's golf club in 2011; 2.) Mueller worked for a firm that had represented Kushner; and 3.) Mueller had been interviewed to return as FBI director before he was appointed as special counsel. Don McGahn, whitehouse counsel, said that this would be a disastrous move and threatened to quit. Trump did not, in the end, attempt to fire Mueller. Also around that time: In July 2017, Mueller fired Strzok and Page when he learned that they had been exchanging texts that were critical of Trump.

Major events so far:
  • Manafort, Trump's campaign manager and transition committee member, indicted with Gates, a Trump staffer, on eleven counts arising from misconduct reaching into 2017 related to payments received through 2014 from the pro-russia faction of Ukraine's pre-war government. They have pleaded not guilty.
  • Although Manafort is heading to trial, Gates may be engaged in negotiations.
  • George Papadopolous pleaded guilty to lying to federal investigators in 2017 about activities occuring 2016-17. Admits to meeting with various Russian officials regarding setting up meetings and "dirt" on Hillary while acting on behalf of the Trump campaign, something he previously denied.
  • Mike Flynn, Trump's National Security Advisor, has also pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI with respect to several meetings that he had with the Russian ambassador. Flynn was allegedly involved in other business involving Turkey, but has not yet been charged with respect to that behavior.
  • Steve Bannon agreed to be interviewed by Mueller's team. Bannon was Trump's advisor, but has since been booted from the Whitehouse and from his position at Breitbart news. Bannon was initially subpoenaed.
  • Sessions was recently privately interviewed by Mueller's team. Sessions is currently head of the DoJ.

Hmmmm.... More fuel for the investigative pyre...

"The FBI inquiry into alleged Russian collusion in the 2016 US presidential election has been given a second memo that independently set out many of the same allegations made in a dossier by Christopher Steele, the British former spy."

"Unlike Steele, Shearer does not have a background in espionage, and his memo was initially viewed with scepticism, not least because he had shared it with select media organisations before the election.

However, the Guardian has been told the FBI investigation is still assessing details in the ‘Shearer memo’ and is pursuing intriguing leads.

One source with knowledge of the inquiry said the fact the FBI was still working on it suggested investigators had taken an aspect of it seriously."
