No, they don't repeat. Typically a larger share of the holiday giveaway spree includes past giveaways, but there's no pattern. I'm noting which ones are repeats in post #866 above.
 
Had to reload a few times for the order to go through on Death Stranding. Not surprised with such a big title.

Played in back on my PS4 pro and just couldn't get into it. A buddy in my office just finished it and it sounds like the gameplay update patch had a lot of goodness so will give it another shot.

LOL, okay, of course there are server issues before things have even begun. Automatically signed out of my account on browser and can't sign in. Same issue with game launcher.

Thought it was the DC, but after it crashed and I logged back in the normal one is free now. I have 2 showing in my Library, the game and one that says content with 2 add-ons.

There is some weird shit going on.

Earlier, on my main account, I was able to collect it, or so I thought, but it was weird and there was delays with the pop-ups filling out. I got an email with the automated receipt they send out every time you collect a free game. I decided to check that it's showing that it's in my library on the website. But when I go back, I see they took down the Freebie section from the main page. It's just gone.

So I use the link I posted above to go straight to the game. It's showing me the "Buy" button for $23.99, neither "Get" nor "In Library". Meanwhile, I also have secondary accounts I use to collect giveaways. I checked the link using one of these. The button that is normally "Get" is greyed out, reading "Unavailable".

And just now it popped back up, but not on the main page. Only in the "Free" section. Now it's showing me "Get" again on my main account where I already got a receipt. Their servers are fucked from the traffic.

Now I'm seeing the same double ownership in my Game Launcher's library as @gentlemanjack despite that via the website it still shows me as needing to buy the Director's Cut (which was the giveaway version).

Weird that they switched it up, maybe they had limited keys, though I imagine it was a clerical error and they always planned to entice you to pay for the DC upgrade. You can't even buy the OG version on Steam anymore.

Only Epic and their shitty store can create controversy for a free game lol
 
Looks like I managed to get the regular version of Death Stranding. I'm not complaining, mind you. I guess that they ran out of the director's cut keys.

Just glad to get it for free! :)

You might try again. I figured I'd come back when traffic died down. Even the website is showing as "In Library" on my main account, and I was able to collect the Director's Cut on secondary accounts. Seems to be working as intended, finally.

Yeah, I missed out. I had to go to bed early. No biggie though. Thanks for keeping me in the loop! :)
