Are you a Muslim right after a Muslim terror attack? Because I've noticed from news stories concerning "free hugs" in the West that the free hugs women pretend to feel comfortable with don't come from a white Christian guy..

My wife has learned how to get cuddles out of me. 2 main situations:

1. After she's fed me a huge meal. I'm often a bit lethargic and within an hour will have a lie-down, so she'll prey on me and say something like "you liked that meal?" and snuggle rape me when I don't have the energy to fend her off

2. When I'm watching sport (usually Match of The Day) in bed at night. She'll occasionally ask me questions about my team and before I know it, she's in my cuddle zone imposing her will. I don't mind this as if I die I need someone to impart my sporting wisdom on my son. Also, who doesn't like talking sport with someone who's asking good questions?

Not so sure about this. It might be the case for unattractive men or weak-willed men, but alphas (hell, even most regular good looking, confident dudes) have been acting like dicks and getting laid since the dawn of man. It's usually those that can't get it that start overthinking it and changing their behaviour in ways that seem possible for them.

A huge number of girls will always like "bad boys" and that will never change.

I never understood the value of a woman who respects personal space until I had several girlfriends in a row who suddenly turned into octopodes at bed time and I would spend at least 30 minutes wondering how this person has managed such a thorough attack with only 2 arms and 2 legs. I'm 6'4 and my tallest gf was 5'9, yet somehow they take up 90% of the bed while I'm crunched into the corner in the fetal position hoping not to wake them up and have to start the process all over again.

I feel your pain. I'm just under 6'4 and my wife is 5'2, yet she's always up in my business and on my side of the bed when I'm trying to sleep. I just can't sleep when there's contact with someone, so it's annoying. The only time I could was when we went camping and I thought I'd die from the cold.

Well then we agree.

I am not talking about the Alpha's. I am talking about that guy who we would have called the 'shy' or 'awkward' guy growing up.

Imagine that guy growing up today. A guy who needs more than anything to find a way to assert his masculinity. To find a comfort in self. He may never be an alpha but he must find a way to be a man.

He is most susceptible to being told 'all those traits are wrong and bad' because he struggles to gain those qualities and traits to begin with. So instead he sees this other path being offered of 'reject your maleness', all that maleness stuff you struggle with is 'bad and wrong'. Here instead is your path to desirability in society and with women.

And he does, and finds himself 'liked' by women who can easily control him and make him 'pay for hugs' or silence him if he speaks up and asserts his 'privileged', and he realizes the women who demanded he be this way utterly reject him as a potential mate and they f*ck the guys that they say are toxic.

Imagine now being that guy and realizing you cannot come back. You are now in your early 20's and ARE a complete soyboy formed to be the perfect #metoo male. Trying to remake your personality would seem an impossibility and instead many of them simply give up and pay for hugs and/or become incels.

But seriously it's funny how women pretend guys have to be tall when tall guys marry short women based on them being decent people they like for who they are, with other attractive qualities.

Mostly agree with you. Those type of guys used to just accept they wouldn't get it back in the day and settle for a similar sort of woman. Many of them would be under the thumb. I've seen friend's dads suffer the fate as long as 30 years ago and I'm sure there were many before then. I guess my point is that it's not a new thing. There have always been men that will happily live under a thumb to get a bit of sex or companionship there are just new ways to get under that thumb.

Funny you say that. My small wife has always said that after being with a tall man for most of her life, she could see herself with someone that isn't tall. I think it's just like men who date women with big boobs, once you get used to it,, it's tough to go back.

As you said though, personality is what matters most though. Everything else can come and go easily.

I agree but think the defining difference is that back then the young men was not being told that masculine traits (alpha male traits) were bad and to be rejected and ultimately those guys will are bad and will fail.

If you are already naturally geeky and struggling with those qualities, then wholesale rejecting them and jumping onto this other more soyboy path and believing that is key to attracting women by becoming the man they TELL you they want seems much easier. But instead of finding them on a path of acceptance they find out they are on a path of utter rejection and manipulation. Women say 'Pay me to view me running around my house or playing video games in my underwear', 'Pay me for a hug'. 'This is what you will get from me as acceptance and validation and don't expect any thing more with your privilege'.


No one is calling out women for their toxic behavior. Stringing lonely guys along and milking them for their cash. Women feel empowered that they can now do that without having to actually sleep with the guy. Not have to sell sex. They can get what they want (money) while giving the guy nothing of real value and that often leaves him feeling worse.

I don't want to play into the Sherdog WomanHaters club as this is just a small percent of women and men. But is is an important part as it is the most vulnerable males and the most predatory/narcissistic females. A terrible match-up.

I like cuddling naked. Clothes on cuddling I can do with out. I have a FWB for about two years now. She comes over roughly every 5 - 7 days we bang then cuddle after for about an hour and find out what's going on in each other's lives. Then she goes home to her kids. She spent the night maybe 3 times and she knows I need my space so no sleep cuddling because I'm way too use to sleeping by myself.

Otherwise I'm a big fan of a naked body laying on me.
