Ass kickings can earn Performance Of The Night, but a Fight Of The Night for a fight that goes to a decision signifies a more or less balanced, fierce, and entertaining two-way battle.

I never said that a FOTN couldn't involve a finish. What it can't involve is a thorough domination throughout the fight. That would be an ass-kicking, and it could only earn a POTN at best. It would have to be a prolonged, fierce, balanced, and entertaining fight before the finish to earn a FOTN.

But we're talking specifically about a FOTN that ended in a decision, right? Saying that such a fight involved an "ass-kicking" is either ignorant, or deliberate deception.
