Is coming back too soon after a ko close

If he gets koed again which is likely against Swanson his chin will probably be tapped like Machida

Machida got tkoed bad by Luke and came back quick against Romero just to get koed again... chin is bad now
 
Ya I don’t get the quick turn around... I was hoping he’d take a lil time off and maybe go to BW if he could make the weight
 
yes exactly what i said in a previous thread, i hope it doesnt happen but i fear he's gonna get kod. he shoulda just waited to come back.
 
Depends.

If he goes wrestling heavy like last time, then he can win this fairly one sided.

If he tries to stand and trade, then yeah, this is a big risk.
 
Machida always had a bad chin. People just couldn't figure out his style at first/rarely got hit cleanly.
 
Frankie doesn't have a chin.He has a great recovery.
 
I think he will be fine, but it IS a little soon.

I don't really like the matchup either. He has very little to gain and a whole lot to lose.
 
I believe Bisping came back too soon after getting pounded by GSP.

It’ll be interesting to see if he gets KOd in his next fight.

The only shots I've seen rock Frankie were monster shots from much bigger men. Why do you think he was chinny? He took a Superman punch off the cage from Aldo and was slipping punches and firing a 3 punch combo literally 1 second later. Frankie has shown a great chin and excellent recovery in his 23 UFC fights.

One stoppage loss in 12 years fighting the top of the food chain being outsized in every fight.. Show me someone else who did that. You hindsight 20/20 revisionist fans are the worst.

His chin is overrated.He got hurt badly and rocked all over the place by Gray Maynard who has 2 ko's in 20 fights. Not saying he has a bad chin but he's considered to have one of the best chin's in the history of MMA yet he hasn't really been hit clean by any ko artists.Ortega was a grappler

Lol you went from "Frankie doesn't have a chin" to "not saying his chin is bad". Besides Maynard who had him noticeably rocked? Maynard had at least 20 lbs on him in the cage and couldn't finish him in 9 rds. Maynard ended up getting knocked the fuck out.

Frankie has fought the top ten for like 10 plus years now. Stephens, Yair, Aldo, Mendes, Penn, and Swanson can all crack. Frankie also shrugged off an insane front kick right on the chin from pre usada Aldo. Go back and watch the first Aldo fight. Dudes chin is as legit as it gets.
 
I don't even like Frankie, never have and never will, but I highly doubt he's going to have any issues against Swanson.

Quick turnaround after a ko is always risky. Bisping is a good exemple with the Gastelum fight.

Who are the ko artist he didn't fight..? He fought the heaviest hitters in the divisions he competed in while being undersized every fight. Give me 10 fighters 155 or lower with a better chin.

How is he supposed to fight a fighter that doesn't exist? Let me repeat, he fought the heaviest hitters in the divisions he competed in. Period. Aldo, Mendes, Penn, Stephens, Yair, Faber, Griffin, and Sherk all have multiple ko's. This isn't boxing, if you rock someone and they give their back, you strangle them. That doesn't mean they don't hit hard af. Aldo front kicked him right on the fucking chin and it launched his head back

You can't name fighters with a better chin. You can't name heavier hitters in his divisions than the fighters on his resume. Yet you refuse to admit he has one of the best chins for his weight divisions ever. You must be one of those contrarian "I told you so" hipsters.

If he fought the best in his divisions and you don't think any of them are KO artists, can you at least concede his chin is as good as it gets in those divisions?
