The guy is tiny, like 5 feet 3 inches and he could easily make BW. Lets be real, this is the fight I want to see at BW the most. I dont see anyone beating Cruz at BW. Not Dodson, TJ or that new Prospect I forgot his name. Edgar would do to Cruz what Edgar did to BJ and that is defeat him.

Too Bad Conor ducked him like the plagued. He was so afraid of Frankie he was willing to lose to RDA as long as he kept the belt for as long as possible or someone defeated Frankie, like Aldo did.

You do know not always does the faster fighter wins right? There are other things to take into account. Look at Aldo vs Conor or other fights where the faster fighter lost. Stop using speed to determine who wins a fight. There are other things you should consider as well.

He's fine at 145lb. Edgar could win another fight or two and then come back to face Conor, if he beats Aldo in their rematch. If Aldo wins though, maybe a move to 135lb would be good, since he's spoken about it in the past.

I am considering the other things. Edgar likes to engage in the pocket, Cruz doesnt. Edgar likes to pressure, Cruz movement negates this, Edgar likes wrestling, Cruz is an elite wrestler with great TDD resulting from his movement.

Maybe a two fight program with cruz makes sense - fight one Cruz 49-46 all three cards, pointless rematch, Cruz 50-45, 49, 46, and 50-45 and STILL. I think Edgar is done with title shots. Conor / Aldo will take 6 months. Max better get the next shot. injuries, etc. 6 months. Rematch of some sort, 6 months. Some new rising star gets a shot, 6 months. Career options include - gatekeeper, Bellator, retire.

Aldo is the real deal, always has been. Frankie should have recognized that when considering whether or not to take that fight. Conor damn well better recognize it before the rematch because I don't see any more 13 second KO'es in his future.

Cruz beats Edgar. Cruz is everything Edgar is but fresher, faster, smarter, and better.
