“I think he’s a little delusional is what I think,” Edgar (20-4-1 MMA, 14-4-1 UFC) said of Aldo (25-2 MMA, 7-1 UFC), who he meets in the co-headliner of UFC 200 on July 9 at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena. “I think he’s trying to talk himself up. After a devastating loss like that, I know his confidence can’t be too high, and sometimes, they say, you keep telling yourself these affirmations, and it comes true.

“I think he’s trying to do that, but it doesn’t work. Talking’s not enough – you’ve got to show up and perform. We’re going to find out July 9 if he can back his talk up.”

“I think this is for the real belt,” Edgar said. “I don’t think Conor’s coming back down (to featherweight). There’s a lot more to lose at 145 than anywhere else.”

But Edgar wouldn’t shy away from moving up to his former weight class, either, if it meant he could fight McGregor. There’s a huge incentive to do so.

“He comes with the big paycheck,” Edgar said. “He’s the most popular guy in the UFC, he’s going to talk it up more than anyone else, and that’s a fight I know I can win.”

Frankie by TKO, Chad Money Style...

Then calls out the golden leprechaun and gets ignored indefinitely

He's definitely delusional. He still beat Frankie last time though.

Their first fight was definitely 3 rounds to 2. Aldo is disillusioned. I see Frankie taking it. Like Fedor or Chuck and whoever else after they lost their titles, they don't look the same again.

Big Aldo fan, but I kind of want to see Frankie win, as I want to see him fight Conor....... If Conor ever fights at 145 again.

I think Frankie finishes Aldo late in the fight.

I worry for his mental stability if he loses to Edgar.

He'll probably kill a puppy and then run around the streets in Brazil yelling that he's champion of the world, and then get run over by a horse

That's crazy Aldo and McGregor's UFC record are the same. I didn't realize how little Aldo fights.

I'm not sure if I agree with Frankie on this one. Yes it was a devastating loss but I'm certain Aldo will be coming back with a vengeance and Frankie is the first potential victory back to the title. We'll see though, I'm hoping Frankie can win and we can see a rubber match down the road.

He is right.

I felt bad for Aldo after he got his head knocked off but the dude hasn't kept his mouth shut about it ever since. It comes off as very cringy and forced.

I can understand some moderate butthurt losing in the way he did to Conor of all people, but after a while it's just fucking annoying

I'm not ready to jump ship with Aldo after his only loss in 10 years. But at the same time I'm not as confident in Aldo as I used to be either. This fight with Frankie will tell me where Aldo is. Their last fight was great. But I'm picking Aldo via decision again.

I feel the same, but to be fair I don't know how much of that is he bitching about it or simply being asked the same question over and over and over.

I actually got Frankie this time. He's got a lot of momentum going and looked like a beast vs Mendes. Aldo on the other hand is coming off of a devastating L and seems more focused on Conor than Frankie.

It seems uncharacteristic of Frankie to say something like that. Either way, we don't know how Aldo is gna look in this fight but there's no denying he's still the worst style matchup for Frankie in the division

Yea after a KO like that I don't know where Aldo is at right now. I've seen KO's like that completely change someones chin. He might not be able to take shots like he used to. I really want to see this fight just to see where Aldo is right now.

Anyone know Aldo's camp's record since stricter drug testing?
That should give a hint on what to expect.

One thing is sure, Aldo has lost a lot of fans with his saltiness.

Mcgregor destroyed Aldo mentally. All the verbal abuse he had to take and then losing his belt to the same guy that disrespected him. Now hes becoming obessed with Conor.
