The UFC has a clear number one contender who held the belt in the weight class Conor is trying to break in to. Maybe the UFC should work with what they got instead of giving Nate time to actually prepare for a fight that he already won on 10 days notice.

It's a good plan but Aldo already said he wouldn't take any fights other than a rematch or a title shot.

They'll fight for the interim belt, then Conor will realize he can't make 145 and vacate the belt after. Just to fuck over Frankie a little bit more.

Then Frankie will prepare to defend his real title, and Conor will take his 3rd loss in a row by some mid level LW, and will announce he's coming back to FW and Frankie will be stripped of the belt and it'll be given to Conor, who will defend it against Stephens after he defeats Barao.
