Media Francis not falling for Jon Jones' troll bait, intelligently responds to his declarations

Holy shit. That explains the fight against Lewis. Bet he said to Lewis before the fight.

What Francis can potentially make in ONE huge boxing fight is what he would've probably made in 10+ fights in the UFC.

I don't blame him for leaving. The UFC pays like shit, and treats it's fighters like shit. He can go make a big payday, and once that doesn't work out anymore, come back to the UFC to finish out his career... if he even has a desire to at that point. Or mabye he'll make enough money that he's set.

Francis has decided he's not going to fight in the UFC, this eliminating this matchup. Best of luck in finding greener pastures but shouldn't this be in the wasteland?

Hopefully he can make that payday

Wasn't Francis the one who was trolling Jones though? He knew what he was doing when he called himself the HW king.

He turned down $8m to fight Jones, I think at best in boxing he can get $10m.

Jones was handled the HW belt for promotion of the company and himself. The UFC game to recover good PPV numbers

I think he's saying to be on the same side in fighting for fighters pay, and fight against the UFC antics. Jon never was vocal against them.

I think Jones, genuinely wanted to fight Francis for the championship. He saw that Francis wouldn't have the cardio to last in the later rounds, and wanted to add to his legacy with a win over the current champ.

That being said, I think everyone can agree that Francis should do what is best for him and his career; but Jones stayed in the UFC and Francis chose boxing; Francis is the one who left the "team". I don't even think Jones is making $40 million or whatever Francis was asking, and Jones is a bigger draw. Francis brought this situation on himself by trying to be too greedy, and now is looking for a scapegoat or someone to blame for his stock dropping rapidly.

Jones himself sat out for about 3 yrs, so he shouldn't be callling others out for not signing. The whole time during those 3 yrs, people were shitting on Jones saying he's scared, etc. Jones himself said he's not gonna sign for the sake of signing, he knows his worth, etc. "I don't care what people say, I'm not signing unless the money & the terms are right", Jones kept saying something along those lines for his 3 yr hiatus

I agree with Francis' classy response. Jones is a mere pawn in this game for allowing and enabling fighters getting divided and conquered by the establishment.

The fact that the ufc does everything in its power to negotiate with the fighters directly and disencourages them from having managers, proves Francis' point.

If Francis gets that payday he wanted, he will have been proven the smartest out of the whole lot, outsmarting Jones and the ufc.
Who?
