That’s a fair and reasonable prediction.

His opponents will be slower too though.

Stipe has been blowing through most of his opponents but struggled with DC, gotta assume speed had something to do with it.


Reyes and Santos were both pretty athletic younger dudes, Jon is likely a tad past his prime, having reached the top young and accumulated a lot of miles as champ.
 
We'll see in three months whether you're right or not. Hopefully I'll remember to bump this thread when Ngannou flattens Stipe's skull.

I was at frances vs Miocic #1 it was a great fight. Even though he kept him down you had the feeling Frances was never really out of the fight. The rematch should be great it could easily go either way.

"turneded into a pez dispenser" what does that mean? Francis landed like 3 punches on him in the first, Stipe actually landed the better shots on Francis in the first, and Stipe won the fight 50 - 45 on all the cards. Is there a pez dispenser for "50 - 45"?

You are the one with zero knowledge lol. Jones never fought at HW, never fought someone with even 10% of Ngannou's power, never fought against someone that doesn't have at least a 4-5 inch reach disadvantage against him and fought like 0 good fights post-pico. He is almost pillow fisted at LHW let alone at HW, out of his prime, outsized, loses his reach advantage at HW, has bad boxing fundamentals (and blocking Ngannou's shots can already wobble you, you need to have head movement) and not as explosive of a single/double as he used to have.

The bookies have a potential Jones Ngannou match up at around 50-50, but I would say nowadays Ngannou wins that fight 4 out of 5 times.

Also Reyes has speed that the HWs lack. I don’t necessarily agree with the TS in terms of Frank not ever being champion but the slow plodding HWs are what jon will excel at since his speed has slowed down. Jon has an issue with fast strikers who can pivot and move in and out of his range quickly, and Jon seems too lazy to wrestle nowadays to deal/counter that threat.

Moving up is his best bet outside of wrestle fucking Reyes and the LHW division, which Jones is capable of doing yet seems too lazy to do or maybe forgot how to wrestle.

Dude, you can't understand that he doesn't have the PED superhuman strength anymore. He won't wrestlefuck anybody without his PEDs. He's average, deal with it.
 
Anybody with the opinion that Francis has 0% chance against JBJ is someone you should ignore.
 
Francis has the best punchers chance out of anyone but I agree. Aside from a brain fart, stipe will beat him again.
The overeem thing is silly. Overeem is not becoming the champ. Not if he has to fight Francis to get there
 
You're in luck TS, you can bet Stipe at +155. Make sure you throw your life savings on it and show us the proof afterwards, since you're so confident.
 
I certainly have Stipe as the favorite but of every single fighter in the UFC today the last fighter I would ever count out would be Francis the guy could ko a Rhino with a burp.
 
Francis Ngannou will never be anything more than a freak with power punches who gasses out in 3 round fights. But he very well could be champ if one of those punches happens to land.

All Stipe has to do is go Kamaru Usman on him and he’s done for.

Stipe is 38 probably retires in 2021.
Jones most likely retires in 2021 after hw fight and izzy super fight.

Curtis Blaydes is the only other good hw fighter and Francis beats him 9 times out of 10.

Francis has enough time to be champ.

Francis can easily become champ in a couple of years, he barely absorbed any damage in his career total and HW is trash.
 
Though I do believe Stipe beats Ngannou again. There is no way I’m foolish enough to believe that Ngannou CAN’T win. Anybody can be knocked out. Especially by someone with the power of Ngannou.

I picked Stipe to win the first fight. I expect him to win the rematch. But, I was worried that Ngannou could knock him out. And it’s the same legit concern this time. That’s just being realistic.
 
I think he could win it but I also think he won't hold title that long . His style going to back fire . His striking defence is pretty bad.

I think he's trying to fix it by training with teddy atlas though, who actually said the same thing.


 
I'm going to bump this thread in March when he destroys Stipe in the rematch.
