Francis Ngannou will never be champ

Hating on Ngannou has become the new cool & edgy thing to do now lmao it's so pathetic, can't wait to see their reactions when Stipe is laying face down ass up and the belt is wrapped around Ngannou's waist.

This seems like more of a Jones fanboy thread to me slipping in that Ngannou can "never" beat a guy who doesnt have a single win in his division.

yeah i said it... even in a mostly o most 40+ heavy weight division... Stipe would beat him again... Also Ngannou stands no chance vs Jon Jones. I cant see Ngannou ever touching the belt. Last fight vs Rozenstruik he missed o most all those punchs after he was KOed.... i seem Reem holding the belt before Francis
Someone that has the power to KO anyone should never be underestimated. Very foolish to do so. It just takes one punch.

FYI he won vs Reyes... stop being a bum and making up stuff..... more delusional thinking Ngannou would stand zero chance vs Jones
Explain your reasoning. I want you to list their strengths and weaknesses that makes you think this. I want to see your mma understanding when it comes to their skill sets, fighting style, techniques, strategy/tactics, etc. What makes you so sure of your prediction of Jon Jones winning in a division he has never fought in where he will not have a size/reach advantage that he is used to.

Ngannou can knock out anyone in the division at any time and hes 100% getting a title shot
Maybe not.

IMO, I think they're going to make Jones vs Stipe. They're going to give Jones a title shot, and they won't make his first fight against freakin' Ngannou. In the meantime, Cyril Gane vs Rozenstruik will happen. If Gane wins, he'll be 8-0 on a 5 fight UFC winning streak, including wins over JDS and Rozenstruik.

Jones vs Stipe should happen around February or March. That means the next title shot with Ngannou or Gane/ Rozenstruik will happen in maybe June. The Gane/ Rozenstruik winner could potentially pick up another win by then, making Gane 9-0 on a 6 fight UFC win streak hot in the news.

Ngannou will only be on a 4 fight win streak, and won't have fought in over a year. That's a danger of sitting on the sidelines and not fighting. Will the UFC give the title shot to someone who has been sitting out inactive that fans have forgotten about or the guy that's making headlines in the news?

Stipe has to retire at some point, likely soon. After that, Ngannou will make the division his bitch. Jones doesn't necessarily struggle against guys with comparable height and reach, but the difference in performance is noticeable. A guy who gets tagged by the likes of Reyes and Santos will get knocked into orbit by Ngannou. Other than Jones, what's left? Blaydes?
Jones struggles striking without his reach and height advantage. His game was built on using those advantages on shorter with less reach fighters. He doesn't have the punching power to stop HWs, he didn't have the punching power to do it in LHW.

yo mod pin this thread for a few months proving my point.. when they make this rematch. and Ngannou loses again... then pin my thread again in 6 months when Ngannou tries again making it 3 times.. and lose to that current HW champ
This is the worst thread I have read in a very long time on here. It reminds me of a instagram thread on some recommended MMA-memes account.

as soon as Stipe quits ducking him,

Ngannou will be champ.

maybe not for long, but he beats Stipe.

Ngannou s weakness are his cardio and his mental.
Dude thinks hes better than he is, deserve everything and all.
Not to mention he is probably 43.

please gather round for the laying on of hands.

ok.... Ngannou and Hardy have same skill set... yep i said it

He’s the new Rumble Johnson. I’m surprised people haven’t spotted that yet. He will never be elite.
Both Rumble and Ngannou are elite.
If you make Phil Davis look like an amateur and proceed to destroy Lil Nog, Gus, Manuwa, Bader and Glover in a couple of minutes you are elite.
Same for Ngannou.

They both black and hit very very hard but that's it. Rumble is way more skilled than Francis and Francis is stronger mentally than Rumble.

I thought Connor might beat Khabib back then. His boxing seemed so crisp, that won me over.

Same now, Ngannou may beat Miocic.

But...

Ngannou is beter than Rumble. Ngannou actullay has heart. He didnt give up in the fight w Stipe where Crumble would have. That makes him better. Crumble loses to any elite fighter he fights less he slip a headbutt in there. Ngannou does have a chance to be champion, even if he DIDNT improve since first fight, cos he is just that dangerous and Stipe isnt getting any younger.

You’re entitled to your opinion but IMO, 15:22

Oh wait, those aren’t my opinions

I'll make two predictions.

First, Stipe has been mostly streaming video games and cleaning the firestation toilets when not in camp. While Ngannou has kept training hard over the past 3 years, and focusing on that specific rematch. I am sure the difference will show on fight night.

Second, I think people will be shocked to see how much slower Jones is at HW.

Hmmm.

Oddly dismissive of a guy who has been dropping ranked HWs in short order. KO punches don’t land by accident, he has trained to develop the skills to put ranked fighters to sleep.

At the very least he is EXTREMELY dangerous and his opponent will need at minimum a perfectly executed first round, if not a perfect fight, including the beginning of every round which we all know starts in the feet.

Francis bought his own hype in the first title shot, I doubt he makes that mistake again.

He would appear to have a significant power edge over Stipe and Jon, Francis seems to have a decent chin, his aggression lately has been overwhelming. He is a lot to deal with.

If Stipe &/or Jon beat him that would be very impressive. At the very very least, Francis is one punch away from being champ in each round until he is taken down and kept there, or until his gas tank is expended.

Thankfully both Jon and Stipe are elite intelligent fighters and I assume both will come in with game plans to MINIMIZE the chances of winding up on Francis’ highlight reel.

Jon has shown a tendency to fight up or down to the level of his competition. He won’t sleep on either Francis or Stipe, but he will need to come in WAY better than the guy who struggled in his last few LHW bouts.

He might be good, I just predict he will be much slower.

Dana guarantees lots of guys title shots they never get. "Oh, but i said you'd get a title shot last year. this guy's on a 6 fight UFC win streak with 4 wins the past year. you haven't even won a fight in over a year!" A year of not happening, and not fighting at all, is a long time of not happening and not fighting anyone. That's like 25% of the time of any fighter at his peak. A fighter wastes 25% of his prime on the sidelines while other fighters in their primes are moving forward... When a fight doesn't happen for a year or more, it's never gonna happen. The match up is doomed by destiny, other fighters move ahead, whatever.

That Ngannou vs Stipe fight is never gonna materialize. If he wanted to fight for the title, he just should have accepted more fights over the past year until next March. No one, except Conor, gets to just sit on the sidelines for years and be a champion.

Derrick Lewis is a better fighter, Ngannou is just a power fighter, its about wearing him down in the first round.

Everyone writing Jones out forgets his fight IQ. That said of course Ngannou can be champion but I don't think he can hold the belt for years
