Jones doesn't necessarily struggle against guys with comparable height and reach, but the difference in performance is noticeable. A guy who gets tagged by the likes of Reyes and Santos will get knocked into orbit by Ngannou. Other than Jones, what's left? Blaydes?

Explain. I'm not a Francis nuthugger by any means. The HW's are SHALLOW, and that's just comparing it to the days of old. HW has never been deep but there's an absolute dearth of talent there now. Most guys at HW have just as little technique as Ngannou, but nowhere near the freakish power. The division is his once the last HW with technique retires (Stipe).

Also Reyes has speed that the HWs lack. I don’t necessarily agree with the TS in terms of Frank not ever being champion but the slow plodding HWs are what jon will excel at since his speed has slowed down. Jon has an issue with fast strikers who can pivot and move in and out of his range quickly, and Jon seems too lazy to wrestle nowadays to deal/counter that threat.

Moving up is his best bet outside of wrestle fucking Reyes and the LHW division, which Jones is capable of doing yet seems too lazy to do or maybe forgot how to wrestle.

I agree. Just look at their last two fights. Ngannou went running across the octagon swinging wild haymakers, nearly tripping over his own feet, chin straight up in the air and even gets clipped by Rozenstruik but there's nothing on it because he's backing up in a straight line....

And Derrick Lewis who, after surviving the first round on the ground against a submission specialist came out in the 2nd round and threw a flying knee, ducked under the counter on his way down, came up and landed a hook that dropped Oleinik and followed it up with some gnp getting the tko victory.
