Sorry in advance if this is a bit clickbaity.

BUT, possibly found a fight date leak on Draft Kings website.

What do you guys think? accidental leak or just a placeholder?

Is he even training right now? He just went through a pretty severe tragedy.
Date is still 6 months, plenty of time to finish healing and train. Francis is also already 37 years old, right at the end of his prime.
Been a trend lately with older fighters going for the quick turnarounds to capitalize on their fight peak.

I just saw this on DK too. Was gonna post the exact same thing here lol.

I like Ferreira at these odds. Gotta wonder how Francis is gonna look after the tragic loss of his infant son and the knockout loss to AJ.

Ferreira is a beast on the feet, long, rangy and powerful.

Looks more like a placeholder date.
That's what it is. Bets void if fight does not happen by year end, and then they start over. They did that for Conor-Chandler lines the last two years.

every book on the planet has "futures" bets allowing you to bet on hypothetical matchups that haven't occurred

Probably will happen though, I believe Francis is contractually obligated to eventually take a fight in the PFL. With him being the former heavyweight champ, this seems to be the fight to make.

Not to mention a chance for the lineal to move on

Francis is still the lineal holder iirc

Ngannou is never fighting in PFL, Jake Paul is more likely at this point

I saw an interview were Renan was talking about his upcoming interview with Francis. i thought that meant it was already booked, but I guess not.

Ngannou is back in training at Xtreme couture, so it's a good sign.

I think he does fight by the end of the year barring injury for the PFL. Sounds like that PPV will probably take place in the middle east.

His boxing ju ju needs to be reset again. Win in the PFL probably over in the middle east, maybe that gets him another crack at boxing on the big stage over there or maybe they put up the money to bring in a good named HW to fight Francis in the PFL's next PPV over there in 2025. Maybe both, they seem to like Francis over there.
