Francis Ngannou is an absolute legend.

Did to Gane what Stipe did to him, and did it well.
Lost the first 2, and won 3 straight rounds to keep the title.

Gane should've had an answer, but he didn't.

He probably needs to change his camp , Gane probably has the best Striking and distance control in the HWs but Francis was able to time take downs and also power him down even while exhausted, aslo Francis of all people reversed the position on Gane in that 5th round, if Gane had built up his grappling he wouldn't have allowed himself the get swept so easily.

That's probably why Francis left there.
He knew he had more to learn.

Thanks for writing this up. Ngannou is an inspiring ambassador for the sport, he should be respected a great deal more than he is

Does it though? Both guys looked very poor on the ground. He is a great fighter no doubt, but he just looked like the strongest amateur in the cage rather than crediting it as an example of his greatness.

Match ups can be strange. Especially when skill levels are similar. Their grappling cancelled each other out so it came down to strength and a few other factors. Does not change the fact finding a way to win as a fish out of water is impressive as fuck regardless of how it looked.

Those slams where impressive and so was having the strength to smother Gane that late in the fight.

I really like both guys and was hoping for fire works but was content with the Grunt work shown.
When all else fails you fall back on the cery basics and get er done.

If you can’t appreciate that I dunno know what to say.

Hard to be mad at Gane for losing that position that late in match. Brain farts happen when exhaustion takes hold.

I don’t have great cardio and by my 5th partner in Jits im working off instinct alone (and my instincts are terrible haha) Could not imagine what was going through Ganes head at that point.

I hope he comes back strong and I hope Francis gets PAaaaaaid

Fixed it .

Exactly it was amazing honestly . I mean who would've thought he'd adjust his gameplan like that halfway through the fight ?insane, great corner too they gave Francis expert advice.
It was very close though . I hope Francis gets resigned, cucks Dana so hard he gets him to promote a boxing fight with Top Rank against Fury, Gane fights Blaydes and wins and then we get the rematch early next year .
Inshallah
I knew

He is still unskilled and unathletic with bad gas tank. Brock should just come back and manhandle him.

He probably needs to change his camp , m.
Just imagine the drama if a 2nd HW leaves Lopez after losing a title fight.
But he is not leaving , he is invested very deep with that gym, personnally and financially too. He invested money in ARES FC, Lopez' promotion and I think his sister also work for/with Lopez now.

The gust of wind generated by one of Ngannou's punches would knock Jones out.
Aside from the power of Ngannou's strikes, Jones does everything better. And not to mention, Jones' fight IQ is the best in the MMA world. Francis has decent fight IQ, good for that division hence why he's the champ but Jones is just on higher level.
