Francis Ngannou frustrated, struggling to find motivation

No, he wanted to fight for the interim title and defend it until Stipe was ready for a unification. He has been given any other option but to sit out. What fights do you think that he's been offered since last summer?

He said that he wanted to fight Rozenstruik for the interim title and was willing to defend that.

The UFC hasn't offered him anything. Keep in mind that Dana pretty much wrote him off after the Lewis fight and because his manager complained about the pay cut that they forced on him after he lost to Stipe.

I'd be happy for francis to fight a someone like tai tuivasa just to keep active whilst stipe decides if he wants to come back before next summer
 
Personally, I have no interest in seeing Stipe ragdoll Francis for 5 more rounds. Nothing in that fight led me to believe Francis would be more competitive in a rematch.

He should be fighting Black Beast again.

Exactly. He should just tell Dana put me in line for any HW at the next event. Then when he sparks them in under 60 seconds, he should do it again - "next week, I want another HW, any HW". It'd be the most badass thing ever.

Yeah, risk everything while gaining very little. Look how well that worked out for Tony Ferguson.
The UFC hyped up poor Francis so much he actually started believing in the Ford Escort bs, pressured him to take the title fight without a fight camp, then threw him away when he failed.
And giving DC 3 straight title fights just for being a good company boi.

Volkov is fighting Overeem next year so if any one of them got injured or Covid Francis can be the replacement but i dont think he will accept a fight if it is not for the belt
 
What a sissy. That's why guys like Khamzat should be even more hyped up. Can't stand fighters winning a few fights and waiting 2 years for a specific fight. If you're that confident then fight anyone. But this dude is terrible, i mean even Lewis beat him lol. So i can understand why he wants to wait for the big money and lose again.

Since their last fight, Stipe has fought DC three times Francis has fought 5. Stipe should be defending the title at least twice a year. Meanwhile Francis has already proven he is undisputed no. 1 contender. How long has he got to wait out? I respect Stipe for his accomplishments but come on you have to see this past the rose tinted glasses and realise the HW division is held up because of Stipe.

Doesn't matter, if he did that they wouldn't find any opponent to sign the contract.
