That proves how MMA is different from other sports, mainly the ones that involve a ball, in which you need to be a minor leaguer and start training at a very young age, if you wanna become pro. I mean, in soccer, tennis, baseball, basketball, you must start getting the needed skills at a very young age. Otherwise you won't get past amateur level.
Of course there are guys like Lyoto or Ronda or Khabib or the wrestlers and elite judokas that start training at ahe 4,5,6. But yhen you have a guy like NGannou who's just a heavy hitter, and could become champ with no major background or training. Just wanna point that.
I'm not used to football and hockey. Could someone become a NFL linebacker with no major background, just by being big and start training as a junior or sophomere at college?
What about hockey? I believe it's one of the most difficult sport to really dominate, is that true?
Basquetball?
