If Fox lands WWE, look for the network to likely end its relationship with the UFC, said sources.

"[Fox] is definitely trying to get [the WWE]. They'll pass on UFC, then use 'Raw' for [Fox Broadcasting] and FS1 content," said a source.

Both the WWE and UFC are seeking up to $400 million a year for their TV rights. But Fox is more likely to fork over that kind of money for WWE than for UFC said sources. "Raw" consistently draws over three million average viewers.

The UFC met with ESPN, Turner Sports, CBS and NBC last year to try to drum up interest, according to John Ourand of SportsBusiness Journal. But none seemed interested in paying the $450 million annual average. Fox recently put an offer of $200 million annually on the table.

Sounds like the kind of tactic UFC uses when negotiating with fighters..

On average, WWE shows > UFC.

Wouldn't surprise me if NBC and Fox essentially traded properties.

Having said that, how many viewers Raw draws is nice----but the general argument is that relative to what it costs and relative to what sells, the UFC does a better job converting ads into purchases and for really cheap for ad rates.

ufc is dying

just as mystic UL announced many years ago
all bow down NOW!

Meanwhile, at WME-IMG

WWE viewers live in trailer parks and have zero disposable income.

MMA fans aren't exactly THAT far off from the average WWE fan.

I believe the old MMAFighting article said that MMA fans were just behind NASCAR fans relative to what they spent per ad.

It's time to go back to their roots. It was fun while it lasted, but it's time to get back on track.
