Found a UFC job posting on Craigslist...

I heard you had to compete in a house full of other film editors where alcohol is readily available.

Fuck it. Everyone apply today.

Edit: I'll do mine at my real job.

They were looking for an audio mixer a little while ago (in Vegas). I work with an editor who worked for UFC Vegas in the early days. Said his editing bay was just down the hall from Dana's office. Apparently he could hear Dana screaming and swearing on the phone on a pretty regular basis, shocking eh?

Didn't get much time off, but they handed out the checks come xmas, so he liked the gig. Dude has also mentioned he never saw Buffer poorly dressed.

Hope one of our resident shoopers ups the talent pool over there at Zuffa.

Hah! I definitely qualify for this. Too bad I don't live in the U.S...

Had a buddy that worked production for UFC for a few years. Funny part is he has no idea what UFC was and I had to force him to take the job. He's moved back to Hollywood now but boy the stories he shared

Are you legit doing it because if so I won't fuck around or are you doing it as a joke?

I'm legit applying. I recently had a spec script optioned, which has lead to a lot of rewrite offers and that sort of thing, but most people want you to be local to them. I need a damn good reason to give up my very well paying job and move to LA with wife and kids in tow. That reason needs to be more than just some guy liking my script(which won't get made and he won't like tomorrow). At least if I am employed in the industry on some level, central to where I need to be taking meetings, etc... I am more likely to get the work I want.

But feel free to apply as a joke. You never know :D

Just applied for the hell of it. Been working in television for the past several years as well as a shooter/editor/motion graphic artist. Let's see what happens...

Dude you have some balls man. There is no way I would drop everything to move out to la. My brother in law lives out there and works for Netflix. He loves it but it's not my thing.

Oh and good luck man. I hope you get it. At least the knowledge part of it anyone on this board has down pat.
