Arguably the call out was out of respect and also due to the fact that the fight would do good numbers with MMA fans.

It was overall kind of cringe.
Perry, who seemed intoxicated, called out a retired Robby Lawlor sitting in the crowd. The camera zoomed right into the unprepared, unimpressed look on his face for an uncomfortably long time and was followed by absolutely no response.
Better than that was McGregor's antics after the show. Unfazed by the most recent SA accusation scandal of his own he was not in attendance but took to the internet after noticing the fighters not getting their due on the microphone and went straight after DAZN to threaten their freshly inked deal.
