Now that's interesting!
Julio Arce is an impressive specimen, and sadly has been on the receiving end of a couple split decisions that could have gone his way or be declared draws, like the Moraes bout at UFC 230 (Sherdog scored it for Julio).
Strange, I recall him competing at a
Glory Kickboxing event at the Madison Square Garden, where he's fighting from, and winning against
Omar "Punches" Ahmed (this guy =>
https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/319219-omar-ahmed ) but there's no trace of the fight anywhere... not wikipedia, not tapology, not sherdog, not even on Glory's website...
It was
Glory 48: New York, ... alright, ok, I'm getting to the bottom of this, imma check the event on youtube.
Ok, it was on the prelims, but it's weird how that bout isn't listed anywhere, it was a pro fight in a big promotion and all.
It's listed on the WKA USA website, and that's is:
https://wkausa.com/old/results-12-1-17.html
ONE strawweight Kickboxing champion
Jonathan Di Bella also fought on that undercard and got a win, and same thing, it's not listed anywhere despite being a pro fight.
Same for
Bellator & UFC veteran
Zarrukh "The Lion" Adashev, who got a win on that card but isn't listed anywhere
Anyway, changing topics but staying on Julio ^^'
Considering that his old rival from their
Ring of Combat days & fellow New-Yorker, the always exciting
Brian "Boom" Kelleher, is eyeing PFL after being released by the UFC
(I know that he officially retired, but after that he stated that he wanted to keep going, maybe have a few bouts at BKFC, or continue MMA in PFL... he was supposed to a have a pro-grappling bout a few months ago against one of
John Crouch's blue belts, but the bout was scratched last minute),
it would be sweet if they ended up having their trilogy fight in PFL.
Their first fight, in which Kelleher snatched the belt from Arce, was one of those that could have gone Julio's way, but the judges didn't see it this way.
They had an immediate rematch in which Brian would finish Julio, so now it was settled for good, no controversies...
But it was 10 years ago, and since despite both competing in the UFC for a while they never crossed paths, PFL might be a good place to reignite that feud.
Good signing an any case, cheers o/
