Former UFC fighter Brian Gassaway dies aged 49

Yeah or drugs, or actually CTE, or anything really ... super sad regardless.

HIs brother made mention of CTE in his FB post on Brian's death.

Being a fighter is not worth it unless you make Conor money and even then how do you enjoy Conor money if you die at 49?

Make all MMA fights bare knuckle. There'll be an adjustment period of meatheads breaking their hands but over time the amount of full force head strikes will diminish. Not a perfect solution of course.

"My brother Brian Gassaway lost his battle with mental health today. CTE is a very hard thing. Rest In Peace brother."

Horrible for him and his family. These regional guys fight for peanuts and it ends their lives early as well. I hope fighters these days are awake to the dangers.
