Former Pride Fighter, Sean O'Haire found dead

Sad so many former pro wrestlers die so early. RIP.

The constant travel always gets overlooked too. Always being on the road really hinders your bodies ability to stay 100%.

RIP.

Not just physically.

Terrible for having stable relationships with people and maintaining a good social support system.

Lot of these wwf guys seem to go early. Cade, Guerrero, Benoit, Big Boss Man, Warrior, etc.

A hectic non stop schedule compiled with being juiced to the gills will catch up to anyone eventually. It's no surprise at all why these guys are dropping like flies.

Does a dude who didn't even last 30 seconds in the organization count as a PRIDE fighter?

Better off calling him a K-1 fighter.

Took that fight in 1 days notice because Mark Hunt wasn't allow to fight in US

i wonder how any of these wrestlers make it to 50,would want to see a list of how many have died in the last 10 years.

And it looked like it too.

Had a great swanton bomb, but couldn't connect with the crowd in the WWE. Was kind of surprised how relatively quickly he gave up on the pro wrestling side of things. I thought maybe he would have been repackaged, but he wasn't.

R.I.P.

wow, was actually thinking about his whereabouts yesterday, i even thought he was dead. damn.

He was a good athlete. I remember being impressed by his size + agility back in the 90s-early 2000s.

Too bad WCW folded because Jindrak and O'Haire were awesome. WWF dropped the ball with him.

As have been mentioned, O'haire was poised for a push and then it didn't happen. I've never heard any behind-the-scenes stories why it didn't.

*Lumberg voice*

Well.. I'm going to have to kind of... Diagree with you there.. Yeah."

His 'gimmick' was just being a jacked dude with an Irish name who was a bit of a badass. I remember realizing he was done when he was invited to the APA bar brawl.

You're probably right, it was quite a while ago, and I was just remembering a few of his promos with the whole 3 piece suit.

I think I should of re-worded it and said that O'Haire if given the same push could have been as big a star as the Rock, at least that's how the WWE was building him from his promos and his relationship with Roddy Piper.

His devil's advocate gimmick was great and completely unique to everything else on WWE programming at the time.

They dropped it quick after randomly pairing him with Piper, where Piper at that point was already a parody of himself and did more to try and get himself over than the talent he was managing.

O'Haire had a cerebral, brooding persona while Piper was a belligerent cartoon character. It's like WWE set O'Haire up for failure when realizing the vignettes were becoming more popular than they were comfortable with.

Yeah. It was great. Those videos you posted brought back memories...

R.I.P Sean.

if I remember, without checking, I think his finisher was the reverse of the F-U. That was one of them, anyway.

Yeah, I don't know what happened, but he went from right on the edge to gone in about 3-6 months. It was annoying. Dude had some heat building.
