Former Pride Fighter, Sean O'Haire found dead

Was his Pride fight the one where Butterbean looked shocked/surprised he just won a fight in Pride and started freaking out? It was so damn funny, it was like he expected to go in there and lose again but ended up getting the stoppage and was stunned.

Lmao, I think so

Someone asked what his wrestling name was.. in WCW he just went as "O'haire" He was one half of "Jindrack and O'Haire" I do believe that they got the belts at one point. His tag partner was "Mark Jindrack" (sp)

Vaguely remember him in Wrestling but I do remember when Butterbean KO'D him.

RIP.

Damn. I remember cheering for this guy back when I actually watched WWE. He had a pretty cool gimmick. Very underrated talent.

RIP :(

Wow! Has anyone seen the 101 reasons wrestling documentary? O'Haire is profiled in it and talks about the business Candidly. For whatever reason, I really liked O'Haire. As a young athlete, he was full of potential... Shame.

I was just watching that a while back. Sad.

He was limited but showed a lot of heart in those K-1 fights.

I remember him and Palumbo(?) and WCW invaded WWF, one of the better story lines wrestling did at the time.

RIP.

true. I always thought professional wrestling and many other high intensity sports are probably really hard on the heart. You never hear of football players or ex boxers living into their 100's

You rarely ever hear of anyone living into their 100's

Thats so sad, I always liked him as a wrestler. His gimmick was awesome. I think his potential could have been used more, he was very underrated. He could have been a main-eventer. Its really crazy, this morning one thing from his promos spontaneously came through my mind: "But hey, Im not telling you anything you dont already know." ... but I didnt even imagine he just passed away...Im so sad.

Rest in peace Sean O'Haire, you will be missed.

I remember the Butterbean KO. It kinda looked like O'Haire died in his arms :)

Does a dude who didn't even last 30 seconds in the organization count as a PRIDE fighter?

Better off calling him a K-1 fighter.

I was a big fan of wrestling during his time. That guy was never pinned on TV. Anyone who is knowledgeable about wrestling knows how big that is. He did have a coke problem and was hard to deal with in the WWE. He was suppose to have Randy Orton's spot.

He was a decent kickboxer as well.

I don't get it. Why is that a big deal ? It's all fake premeditated scripted acting....not having a go at you or him just don't understand what you mean.

I watched the ROTR ppv where he beat Shingu.. (sp?)

I also thought dude was decent in WWE.. Was right on the edge of getting a big push, then just fell off.

I know Butterbean was always fat but holy shit he was next level fat here.

Watch with the sound down. The crowd reaction is hilarious with the sound down.

Wasn't Roddy Piper supposed to be his manager and the WWE was ready to pass the mantle to him and give O'Haire a major push?

And then, just like that, he was gone from the WWE.

I still don't know what happened there, I remember he had a good gimmick, his character was a sort of kind of version of the Rock.

Probably so it can be seen in the UFC forum, which would result in more views.

If you said otherwise, it would have been moved to the kick boxing forum.

It tells that the promoters think highly of you if you don't ever lose a match cleanly. They build up your character to seem powerful and that speaks of trust in your ability to make money for the promotion.

It means he was doing well in his chosen industry for a while.

Like I said, he was right on the edge of a huge push, but Vince must have caught wind of some shenanigans he didn't like.. Or Sean just flaked out a little. Idk.

*Lumberg voice*

Well.. I'm going to have to kind of... Diagree with you there.. Yeah."

His 'gimmick' was just being a jacked dude with an Irish name who was a bit of a badass. I remember realizing he was done when he was invited to the APA bar brawl.

I honestly thought WWE would turn him into a huge star, Sean was very athletic and had a great look. Its too bad he did not come along in another era, he could have been a major star.

RIP Sean O'Haire.
